I currently have three impark tickets dating back to Feb last year that I haven't paid. I would worry if I got 5 or 10 of them. Then they might start coming after you, but one ticket I wouldn't worry about.

They won't do anything, forget about it. My sis was issued a ticket from Impark once and they didn't even write down the color of her car correctly (wrote down black instead of green)

I think if you don't pay it, and then park again without paying, there may be risk of towing but other than that I would not worry about it.

i've never paid an impark ticket. the most they could do is tow your car out of one of their lots, but unless you're a repeat offender enough for them to actually do a search of your license plate in their system that's not even that big of a worry

So what are Impark tickets the equivalent of? Me putting a bill under your wiper for parking like a ######? I live downtown. I'd love to ticket the dick faces that don't pull up to the car in front when parallel parking, and take up what could be two spots.

I was taught in school how to get out of Impark tickets, but I can't remember exactly what we were told to do. I know that my teacher who is a lawyer, just takes the ones he gets and tosses them out. Something to do with them only being able to charge you the equivalent of what you were supposed to pay to park there. They can't issue fines?? I know this doesn't help.

I got one from Diamond Parking in Edmonton, sign said "2 hours parking" at a bank, I did my banking, and 20 mins later I came back and had a ticket. I emailed their appeals department, city manager, and went back to my bank. Three people were working on me not paying that ticket, just be annoying, they'll void it.

I've also heard before that legally all they can make you pay is the amount you were supposed to pay for parking (I think there was a court case several years ago) - but I'm not a lawyer so do your research first.

I had heard the same thing, the first impark ticket I got, I sent them the equivilant of what it would take to park there. 2 weeks later I got my cheque sent back voided, with a letter from them saying I would need to pay the full amount of the ticket. Congratulations Impark, you just lost out on the only 15 bucks you were going to get...and cost your company 50 cents to mail my cheque back.
Also, CP...you've lost you way a full page and not one holier than thou comment of "just man up and pay it..."

Well more often than not, that would come from me. But I don't like Impark so I'm letting the OP off the hook.

Has anyone here ever paid an Impark ticket? If so, did they receive a receipt?, or even an invoice?

I got a Impark ticket ages ago, and they were sending threatening letters back then saying they'll send it to collections. However, nobody ever called, and I never paid it.

I know you can get towed by them and that the the hassle and cost of that is very inconvenient. Personally I would call them and tell them your situation, no point in getting a ticket on your record if you dont have to.

Impark tickets are not official tickets. If they want to 'ticket' you they would hav eto call the police and say you are parked illigally on their property. It is a money grab on the companies part. They will send you a few letters saying you need to pay it, followed by referring you to a collection agency (which is a division of their company). By this point most people will pay the fine. If you ignore it they quit after the collection agency threat. The letters can be intimidating, but it is just Impark trying to scare you into paying a big "fine".
I recently parked in their lot and the ticket machine ate my money, I got a ticket and called their help desk and they cancelled it. Just call them with some sob story and they will probably do the same. Either way the only worry you have if you don't pay is they could put a boot on your car if they catch you on one of their lots again, but that is not very likely.

Yeah staidum shopping centre is kinda a joke. All the signs say you get two hours free but you still need to get a free ticket. I can understand during Stamps games and during the season and but I don't see any advantage now.
