I'm not blaming McNabb for the game. Reid, Morhninweg, and McDermott's gameplans sucked. That being said, it's been relatively the same results for 10 years with McNabb behind centre and Reid as head coach.

The colts are not my first choice in the playoffs, but they have a great organization, but to me what would be be karma for them would be to face the Jets and get upset by the Jets, the same team they rolled over and allowed the chance to make the playoffs. that would be gold. as for Manning winning the MVP, i dont have an issue with it, but to me the margin in which he won was a little much, to me he isnt that clear cut of an MVP, not with Favre, Brees and Rivers having the years they did, although Peyton is the NFL poster boy...

i dunno, this team looks like a true contender for chunks of the season, then just whither away as the games get critical (sounds like a hockey team i cheer for actually).....

Dallas is playing some pretty good ball right now. Should be a good game next week when they go into Minnesota to play the Vikings. The NFC Championship will be held in some type of domed Stadium for sure.

I'm also hoping for a Jets and Colts game next week. It would be something to see the Jets go in and beat the Colts after they supposedly let them in the playoffs.

I actually think Baltimore is a tougher matchup for us(out of the two possibilities remaining) then the Jets are. No disrespect to the Jets as they have done a good job of getting into the playoffs and making it to round 2, but Indy has much more offensive weapons then the Bengals have and Peyton Manning is not Carson Palmer. Revis is one heck of a defender and did a great job on Ochocinco but I don't see him shutting down Reggie Wayne/Dallas Clark. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it would be a Colts' blowout or anything, but Indy has been preparing hard all week (and has another full week starting tomorrow once they know who their opponent is). Robert Mathis, Clint Session, Jerraud Powers, Charlie Johnson (4 defensive starters) and Pierre Garcon were given the game off vs the Jets last time and the starters were pulled in the 3rd quarter when Indy had the lead. A full game of the starters and something to play for and be motivated....I like our chances.

I was just visiting the NY Jets fan message board and they had a poll after their win today vs Cincinnati about who they would rather face next week (@ Chargers or @ Colts):

72% of the fans so far would rather play @ San Diego.

Tomorrow's Ravens-Patriots matchup will be interesting. I think New England will win and that would mean Jets-Colts and Patriots-Chargers (the other scenario would be Ravens-Colts and Jets-Chargers). Good games either way!

I meant based on what little body of work we have to look at it looks like Ryan is doing a better job. Not just based on their record. I know you aren't a McDaniels fan, but maybe you can answer this for me. What is the Broncos identity? I don't really know what he is trying to shape this team into based on this season. Their defense improved and their offense regressed is that right? Obviously losing Cutler has something to do with that, but that was his own doing. I am pretty impressed with what Ryan has done so quickly. We know who the Jets are. Run it down your throat and stop you on Defense. And we should be better next year with Sanchez maturing. Jets offseason needs a WR (if Edwards leaves 2) and CB. I am also assuming we let TJ go as well. I think Ryan is using Greene more and more to prove TJ is redundant and Greene and Washington can be our two headed monster.

I am not saying Ryan will be the better coach in the long run. I am definitely interested in seeing what McDaniels is going to do in the offseason. You guys need a QB (Orton will never be an elite qb), #1 receiver (assuming Marshall leaves which is likely), and I admit I don't pay much attention to the O-line of the Broncos but is that a need too?

Guarantee he will shut down Reggie Wayne. Of course he won't shut down both of them. Reggie Wayne is elite but not better than Johnson and Moss who Revis shut both of them down. And yes I would rather face the Chargers as well due to Manning's other weapons. Clark, Collie and Garcon there's too many of them. I wouldn't guarantee a Colts victory because they don't have a running game, but I think it would be likely.

Montana is not on my top 3 list...and i endured watching him his entire career.

The problem with rating QB's and narrowing it down to a top X number of players, is that the game has evolved so much from even 20 years ago.

Take Fran tarkenton as an example....guy was unbelievable, as evidenced by all his trips to the SB....even though he was on the losing side of all of them. He didnt have the luxury of an offensive co-ordinator making every call, he made the calls himself. As did all the QB's in by-gone eras. Terry Bradshaw won 4 freaking super bowls, yet many will ignore him on such a list.

Dan Marino is another good study in this argumnet...dude was phenomenal. Simply one of the most accurate and strongest passers to ever play the game and easily the quickest release ever seen. Yet he won nothing major as far as team awards go. Jim kelley is another one.

Go back further. Bart Starr, Johhny Unitas, norm van Brocklin,etc etc, but since most of us never saw them play, we omit them. Doesnt mean they werent as good or better than many we list however.

My top 10 QB's of all time will most assuredly have Brett Favre at the top, and who could argue it? yet if someone sees Elway or Montana or Manning there, how can i argue with them?

Its way to subjective to just pass over someones opinion of a top 10 without exteremely direct and rigid parameters.

You obviously missed the "that I had a chance to watch" part of my post. Montana was a Chief by the time I was really old enough to understand football. And he was retired by the time I had anything close to a firm understanding of it.
