Go to CAT Rentals and get magnetic pin locator. Every CAT store I have been to has them. Specifically say "pin locator"... they're different and are a lot better than plain "metal detectors".

So do women expect you to wear a wedding ring, period? I really dislike wearing jewelry of any sort (I don't even wear a watch), and I could definitely see this being an issue if I ever find myself in that situation. Anyone here get away with not wearing one? I really don't think a little piece of gold is what prevents you from cheating on your wife. Am i out to lunch from Realitytown?

Titanium is your friend - looks good (I chose it without looking at price) and turned out to be .... $130!

My wife gets offended if I don't wear it to places where there might be attractive women.

Metal detector was a bust.
However, there was a very valuable life lesson learned today:
If you ever want to feel like a complete -- and i mean COMPLETE -- ######, take a metal detector to your local gas station and start waving it around.

95% of the time, I don't wear mine. She's pretty cool about a lot of stuff though.

My wife doesn't care. When we talked about it, it came down to either she's fine with me not wearing it no matter who I'm around or she doesn't trust me. Turns out she trusts me.

I think my wife just like to show off to other women about the man that she snagged.

You were just a concerned husband... unless you were wearing an Oiler's jersey. Then, yeah... ######.

My wife doesn't mind if I get attention from other women. Validates that she chose a good one.

Canadian Tire will take back anything it seems. Just say that you changed your mind and I can't see you having any trouble.

My buddy has lost his wedding ring three times, how he is still married and I get divorced baffles me.
On a side note I have a nice men's wedding ring for sale Jayems, it's chalk full of good luck (I lost it in Orlando at a golf show and found it 2 days later, the marriage thing not so lucky though)

That really bites. I don't think there is anything more infuriating than losing things or forgetting where something is. It puts me right off the deep end until I find it.
A guy I used to work with told me to repeat this prayer when you lose something. He claimed it would work even if I wasn't Catholic. Coincidence or not, it actually has. St Anthony is the Patron Saint of lost stuff!
"Anthony, Anthony, turn around,
Something's lost that must be found."
Good Luck.

And, it's not about the money, really. I know I can replace it, but not with a ring from our wedding day. More of a sentimental loss than anything.
|
The whole crux of why my wife losing her rings was emotional.

I have a high end metal detector that would pick that thing up for sure. Unfortunately, I live in Ontario. Sorry man, hope it turns up.

Well, the other problem is that the huge tanks under the asphalt must (obviously) be made of a metal as it just goes crazy. It's melting like crazy there, just went for my 4th look of the day, but no luck. I'll just have to keep going back until the snow goes or I give up.
