@$@!$ So I lost my wedding ring in the snow

I took my ring off while tearing down a campsite after a weekend in the Kananaskis with friends. I didn't realize until a few hours after returning home that I did not have my ring on my finger. I couldn't recall ever putting it back on, but I remember taking it off.

My dad came with me to drive back out to the campsite we spent our weekend at. Try finding a half white gold, half gold ring in the middle of nature: gravel, leaves, garbage, etc.

Long story short, after about twenty minutes of looking, we did find the ring.

I hope you find yours, cause I agree with you; it's not the monitary value, it's your wedding ring you got on your wedding day. Nothing can replace that.

Good luck man. Plus tempratures in the area all weekend, even as far as Wednesday.

This is the same for me. I've had a couple close calls and its the reason why I don't wear my ring in the winter anymore. Discussed it with the wife and we'd be both happier with me not wearing it 4-6 months out of the year rather than losing it.

If you were shaking your hands to dry them, pretty good chance it could have wound up going behind you and not into the snowbank in front of you.

If you are really serious about this, take a few buckets down there and a shovel. Scoop all that snow into them buckets and then take it home and put it in the bathtub.

Put the plug in the tub of course. Let that filthy snow melt and voila, wedding ring found! Or maybe not, but it would be a hell of a lot of fun to try. And free water for a bath, which ain't a bad perk.

Oceans love wedding rings. I lost mine in the Pacific Ocean snorkelling in Hawaii. This was the first day of our honeymoon, 3 days after the wedding. I searched for hours and eventually found it! Lesson: Take your ring off before going near an ocean!

Yeah, that's why this is kind of a lost cause. If, by chance, it did land in the gas pump lane and landed on top of the snow, I didn't realize immediately. Instead, there's a good chance 2-3 cars went through in the time I was gone. As such, it could have easily been picked up in the snow onto some tires and redistributed somewhere down the road.

I lost my ring just over a year into my marriage. Thought it was somewhere in the house but we tore it apart and nothing.

Bought a cheaper ring as a replacement but I hardly wear it (not wearing it now). Can't stand jewelery or watches of any kind. I have a special spot for it and wear when we go out.

Sorry to hear though. It is a drag.
