The Bone Thugs N Harmony text had me on the ground laughing. SNL is going to have a fun with that one!

Well, you know, that's his thing.
Anyway, I was going to say something else, but according to wikipedia (which is never EVER wrong) no cash was paid in the settlement. So Wdf, do I know.
However, what goes into a settlement if not cash?

Today may end up being worse than any of the previous 14 for Mr. Woods.
Quote:
A video of porn actress Holly Sampson speaking frankly of a liaison with Tiger Woods at a bachelor party has been public since May but is only now coming to the public's attention.
The video appears on an adult website and features a topless Sampson in a kitchen with two other women. She speaks matter-of-factly about her services at a bachelor party in Las Vegas and speaks intimately about Woods
"He would probably die if he knew I was telling this on the Internet but that's OK, I don't care. It was fun, it's not like it was any big mystery."
One woman in the video commented that Sampson looks similar to Tiger Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren.
"I know! He likes blondes obviously," she says.
Sampson's adult movie titles include Other Men's Wives, Descent into Bondage and Diary of a Horny Housewife.

This writer is calling for Tim Finchem, PGA Tour commisioner, to suspend Woods.
Quote:
While conspicuous silence continues to emanate from Finchem's Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., headquarters, the time is coming for him to address whether Woods - the face of the PGA Tour - should be suspended for conduct unbecoming a professional.
Suspending Woods is reasonable and it's right.
One can argue he will pay the price with a reputation beyond repair. Sorry, Tiger cannot be above the game if he has disgraced the game. Correctly or not, golf has always held itself on a higher moral plane as a sport ruled by principles of honor. Has any such publicity created a bigger stain on golf? And, if so, how can Finchem not try to eradicate it?
|
Holy smokes is that ever over the edge of reasonable. How has he disgraced "the game" of golf?? His family? Sure....the game? Not one little bit. If that was the case then every single sport in the world has been disgraced by similar behaviour by multiple athetes in each discipline.
No question that Woods has made a series of bad decisions in regards to his personal life, but in no way, shape or form should he be disciplined by the PGA. Hell, he doesn't even work for them. If he had done something ON the course, then by all means he would fall under the scrutiny of Finchem, but he hasn't.
How this guy figures that Woods, or any adulterer for that matter, should be punished by not being allowed to work at his occupation is mind-boggling. This whole saga is getting absolutely ridiculous in its "witch hunt" mentality.

Other sport leagues or teams have provisions for personal conduct issues but generally it's about issues they may have engaged which reflect on the integrity of the underlying sport.
Boinking limitless women with the effect of embarrassing both yourself and your wife and children doesn't fall into that category. If it was the 143rd ranked golfer no one would care.
It's a legitimate news story because of his stature but, in the end, it's largely a personal story of self-destruction.
It's just the PGA's bad luck he happens to be the top dog in their game. Calling for his suspension is ridiculous.
And, joining the debate late, golf is a game of skill, not a sport.
One of our esteemed members, himself looking to become a golf pro I believe, a few years ago was trying to argue that playing 36 holes of golf was the equivalent of running a marathon. That was a real hoot.
Golfers, like great hitters in baseball, have a rather stunning, well above average, level of hand/eye coordination but, like great hitters in baseball, they don't exactly have to be in a higher standard of athletic shape to be successful or achieve a higher standard. In golf, maybe it might help, but it's not the main point. Occasionally I'll tune into a golf tourney and inevitably there's guys who obviously look after themselves a bit but they're equally challenged by guys with rolls hanging over their belts too.
I just don't believe you can call golf a sport, which implies athleticism.
Adam Pardy is more of an athlete than Tiger Woods is.

I don't think they want to open that can of worms, lest they discover most tour pros have a stable of concubines.

Suspending Woods from the PGA Tour would be somewhat the equivalent of opening a strip club but suspending the strippers.
Sure some people would still go for the booze and food, but business wouldn't be nearly as good.

John Daly has done way more to disgrace the game of golf with some of his antics than Tiger has and he's still around (entertaining as hell though). I can't remember if Daly has ever been suspended in the past, but either way I agree, there's no way Tiger's personal, uuuuhhhh....issues? warrants a suspension. Plus the the PGA brass aren't that stupid.

LOL... suspend him? I am willing to bet that the first tournament he plays in after all of this will experience the highest ratings golf has ever seen. I know it may be for the wrong reasons but since when does advertising care about about reason.

The PGA would let Tiger work Holly Sampson on the 18th green, if that would ensure that he actually showed up for every tournament...

Tiger quitting golf to save his marriage. hahahaha.
Man this guy is a tard. did he really think he could hide it from the world what he was doing?

Braun said Tiger had a particular favourite from Braun’s stable, a particular woman from Manhattan: Loredana Jolie.
"She’s a stunning girl," Braun is quoted as saying. "He went out with her four or five times. She took part in group sex. They met up in 2006 or early 2007. I'd say he paid $15,000 for her."
According to the Post, Braun was recently sentenced to three years probation and six months of house detention after pleading guilty to money laundering and transporting a woman across state lines for the purpose of prostitution. Braun said Woods would pay “$30,000 to $40,000 a weekend” in cities where he was playing tournaments. Braun said Woods’ escapades would usually involve more than one girl at a time

There is no way in HELL Tiger quits golf after this. No way, no how, not a friggin chance.
If Ellin says to him "it's golf or me" then Ellin will be shown the door rather quickly.
Not to say Tiger isn't going to do whatever it takes to fix his marriage. Just not at the expense of making history. He has worked his entire life to beat Jack Nicklaus' records. NOTHING is going to prevent him from at least giving it his best shot.
I appreciate marriage is important, but billions of people get married. Only one person can be the best golfer that ever lived. If Tiger is forced to choose between marriage or golf then I guarantee you golf wins.
