If you want to play into our stereotype, you could send her a cowboy hat.
Is there a price range/limit on the gift?

I second the Bernard Callebaut idea. World class chocolates made here in Calgary. And what women honestly doesn't love chocolate? What person, man or woman, doesn't love chocolate!

A stuffed beaver...or maple syrup. You can get the canned kind from quebec. Easy to ship.

Don't send anything that will be ruined if it freezes. Last year one of our suppliers in Texas sent us a case of Grapefruit for Christmas. By the time they were delivered here in Calgary they were frozen as hard as baseballs. When they thawed out they were like mush.

I have a $15 gag gift exchange on Christmas eve and I am leaning towards non-alcoholic beer.
I think that would be just so funny.

You know what I got for Christmas this year? It was a banner year at the old Bender family. I got a carton of cigarettes. The old man grabbed me and said "Hey. Smoke up Johnny."

So, you signed up on a website. Got contact information for someone you don't know. You have to buy them something. And you hope that who ever gets your contact information, and no other information about you, sends you a present?
Sounds bizzare to me. I rarely buy presents for people I don't know. If anything, I'll buy toys for the bins in Market Mall or where ever. But this is just weird to me.

Little known fact about Bernard Callebaut chocolates: While the end product is crafted in Calgary the actual chocolate is made in Belgium by a third party. So, if you're eating a Bernard Callebaut pure chocolate bar then the only thing that Bernard Callebaut Chocolate is responsible for is the actual shape of the chocolate.

Cadbury chocolate is as good as Bernard Callebaut's at 1/10th the cost. Especially if it is Cadbury chocolate from England.

Yeah it is a little different but could be really fun. Sure I am putting faith in the person that got matched up with me in that they will send me a gift as well, but oh well.
