Anybody else have problems starting a game? Red Sky (Fryds) and I tried numerous times this morning to get a game going, but when either one of us accept the game invite, we can't ready up. It just boots us out and says "Game Session no longer available". What gives?

No I don't think there's a way, I don't see a point unless I misunderstood your question. You could challenge someone in the Play A Friend mode if all you wanted to do was play a Cper.

Ok folks. Im getting complaints that people aren't getting games, usually for days on end. This defeats the entire purpose of why we started the new league. I understand that some people can't commit to several games per week. But 10 games per month is going to take us 8 months to finish the league. Maybe we made the league a tad too long, which we can remedy next season.

But for now, either play or back out please so we don't have to kick people.

You know what I'd love to keep trying but I seem to not have the time to do it.
I'm gonna have to back out.
It sucks but I'm not getting on as much as I want to.
I'm sure someone could fill my spot.

Just so everyone knows, when you come in to shoot a wrist shot and you pull the puck almost behind you when you wind up is considered a glitch goal. You know someone is glitching when they try an unnatural shot EVERY TIME from everywhere. The shot looks weird. When the guy comes in and winds up for a wrister and almost puts his stick behind him on the wind up, then pauses shoots it has a very high percentage of going in...

If anyone is interested in doing that shot all game long, or doing it repeatedly once they are losing let me know now, and I'll just give you the win, because I'm not interested in playing that crap.

I don't mind if it happens once in awhile, b/c sometimes it does, but when you try it EVERY time or once you are losing it's the only shot you try from everywhere on the ice, you clearly know it's a glitch...

Here is a video to show you...

I can honestly say no one has scored that goal against me in this league. I don't know how it would be affective against most players in this league though. Defence is pretty tight by anyone in the top ten in our league, and no shot like that is going to get through without being blocked.

Jayems five-hole deeke he pulls 6 or 7 times a game on the other hand......

Whaa? Those never go in 5-hole. That's all a deke back and forth and then put it in the side of the net. And, although it's a fairly good percentage move, it's not 100%... meaning, if I'm scoring 6 or 7 of 'those' goals a game, you're giving me 10-15 breakaways a game. And, in my defence, I try and change it up as much as i can. And that does include going forehand or backhand which is much more difficult depending on the situation. What move i go with on the breakaway completely depends on the angle I'm coming in at. If I think I'm using one move too many times, I generally won't take the shot and will curl back and try something else (unless you're one of the ones who get down 2 goals and start pulling your goalie or taking deliberate penalties every shift, then I don't care which moves I go to).

The one goal that really annoys me is the wrap around to the opposite corner. You can't defend it because if you do you leave the cross-crease one timer wide open.

People who do that will 99.9% of the time go to the side of the net they wrap with on the forehand. To defend against it, hold down your stick poke button and wave it to the corners. Don't get fooled, because they'll try and fake one way and then go the other. It's almost guaranteed. As soon as they begin to go to the other side, drop your stick to the ice against the post. It also helps if you use a winger. They'll leave the points open, but the front of the net is still covered by your 2 d-men. But sometimes there's really nothing you can do.

My pet-peeve is the slap-flip-pass one-timer out of mid-air.

People wind-up for a slapper, and as they're moving forward with the stick, they press the R2 button. It passes the puck about waist-high. It's a very difficult shot to master, but if you know how to do it, it gets you goals. I never use it, but people always seem to try it against me. That's usually a green light for me to use any moves I want.

I lost like my first 6 games because I had no D, than about 15 games in I clued in that I had Jackman and Brewer not even dressed (man I hate how NHL 2010 does that). I than realized I also had TJ Oshie not even dressed.
