No doubt, both of them are having exceptional seasons. I was referring to the fact that both the Chiefs and Raiders punted a lot in their game. Watching a punt every four plays gets pretty boring.

First thing yesterday morning it didn't look like Rothlisberger was going to play. As the day progressed, more reports surfaced that he just might be fine. With Charlie Batch out for six weeks it looks like Big Ben will play. I guess we will know more by Thursday.

Cardinals vs Vikings flexed into Sunday night NBC slot for December 6th. Replacing Patriots Dolphins.

With the amount of people from here going to that game, I was thinking of putting it in a new thread!
Looks like my 11AM flight back to Calgary on Monday morning will be that much more difficult!!

Eagles re-sign RT Winston Justice to four-year extension. Who would've predicted this after the game against the Giants two years ago?

Twelve games decided by eight points or less this past week tied an NFL record.

Very little. Believe he is out of Baylor. He played some last year and obviously it wasn't good (nobody was).

Stupid decision in my opinion. Yah it's a big game but there is no rivalry there, no hate
There is a very good chance that New Orleans beats the Pats on Monday night putting the pats at 7-4.
There is also a very good chance the Dolphins win in Buffalo this week-end putting them at 6-5.
The battle could be for first place in the AFC. The hate between the Dolphins and Pats and first place on the line is a far better story line I think.
This favre love is getting worse and worse every week.

And to think our very own Mike Richards on the fan was claiming there was going to be no good games in the NFL on the week-end and that the CFL would have had far more intriguing matchups.
Last I checked none of those games even came close to being as good as the NFL games on the week-end.

As a person without any affiliations to any of the mentioned teams, I'd rather see the Cards/Vikings game. Two explosive offenses going toe-to-toe, with two greybearded gunslingers at QB; what's not to like? Add-in a bunch of playmakers like AP, Fitzgerald, Boldin, and Harvin, and it's a can't miss game.

Moving that game allows each network to have a pretty good marquee game that weekend. CBS now has the Patriots and Dolphins, Fox has the Giants and Cowboys, and NBC gets Farve against the Cards.
As someone who has Bell expressvu and no Sunday Ticket, just means I'll lose another 10:00 game and have to watch the Pats and Dolphins. I was hoping that CBS West might show the Chiefs and Bronco's game, but they'll probably have the Colts and Titans now. Blah, who am I kidding both the CBS stations would show the Colts game and thats the one that would get SIM subbed on CTV too.

Peter King nominates Drew Brees as his Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...man/index.html
Quote:
Brees does not have a Super Bowl ring to his name, but he is the most productive passer in the NFL, statistically, since coming to New Orleans in free agency in 2006. But that's not why I'm saying he deserves to be Sportsman of the Year. I'm saying it because no athlete in any sport has meant more to his community in the last five years than Drew Brees has meant to New Orleans.
He's in the process of moving full-time to New Orleans from his home in San Diego, because he says he'll be able to do more good if he's in the city year-round.
|
Drew Brees means a lot to the Saints, most important piece of the puzzle for sure. He's unquestionably the greatest quarterback they have ever had, and likely had a great influence in keeping the team in town. He may mean more to the City of New Orleans.
With players like Jarome Iginla and Drew Brees representing my favorite teams and their communities, I feel very fortunate as a fan. It could so easily be be much worse.

The Miami biased is getting more evident every week.
This could very well be a game that decides which team get's that 2nd spot in the NFC. Say both teams win this week, 10-1 vs. 8-3....think I'd rather watch that than Pats/Miami.
But then again, I'm probably biased.

Really you couldn't tell by my signature. Look either way I will see the game I get Sunday ticket to ensure I see my team every week-end.
At 10-1 you make it sound like you've given up on the #1 seed. Chances are the saints will lose a game or two this year. Is it a big game you bet it is but the Cards have a pop warner like schedule and they play in one of the worst divisions.
I honestly think that if Ronnie Brown doesn't get injured then the dolphins have the wildcat which is over-rated like favre but I think wildcat vs brady is what the east coast would prefer. Remember North America is dominated by east coast population.
I still think divisional rivalry games are much better than none divisional games. Thats my opinion.
I also think that if minnesota is 10-1 and favre wasn't your qb you don't get flexed, the medias infatuation with Favre is epic.

You'd have to think the NFL is praying for the top two teams in each conference to meet in the AFC and NFC Finals
Pats @ Colts
Vikings @ Saints
Each team has an elite quarterback that could be all hyped up. The two best offence's in the league. Not to mention the biggest rivalry in football mixed in with Favre maybe getting another chance to win a superbowl.
