Good episode last night. Loved the bit about being unable to listen to 'how we met' stories.
"Let me guess how it ends! It ends with you two meeting, right?".
By the way, was it me or did Ben Affleck walk by him in the Banana Republic when the alarm went off? The bearded guy? I re-watched it and it looked exactly like him.
Ya I remember noticing that too, completely forgot about it because he never came back
I'm putting together a "Curb" package (Videos Etc...) for My Sisters Birthday this Friday.
I was seaching for images and sound-bites on the Web today, Then I got a real slap in the face when I realized that this Sundays Episode will be the "Season 7" Finale.
FINALLY got to watch this week's episode, wow was that a classic!! The Seinfeld on-set readings, with Banya, Newman and Estelle appearances, the making fun of the whole Kramer comedy club freakout, and the end with LD talking to the doctor about his relationship with a 9-year old girl. Even Leon finally got some face time! GOLD JERRY GOLD!
I can't wait for the finale this Sunday. I can't believe this is the last episode of the season. So sad. The LD is a golden god.
That episode along with the whole season has been comedy genius. The nine-year old girl bit was so amazingly taboo. There's nothing that Larry David is afraid of doing on his show.
The dynamic between Larry and Jerry is amazing.
I love how it's basically George fighting with George when LD and Jason Alexander are always fighting.
How they handled the Michael Richards thing was genius.
Leon continues to be one of the best secondary characters on the show.
Funkhouser is awesome.
It was also really cool to just see the dynamic the various cast members of seinfeld had in the rehearsal scene - especially Newman.
what a classic episode this week. That joke by Funkhouser was outstanding!
Interestingly, I thought that the direction this episode was back to its usual standard. The opening shot of Larry being filmed from behind looking at the empty Seinfeld set was absolutely perfect. Larry Charles seem to have a knack of how to direct LD to make him both absurd and wholly genuine all at the same time.
And all the cameos were great. And Leon saying that jews get barmitzvah-d once every 13 years was soooo funny. Great show.

Will we ever get more of this comic Genius?
whoops - sorry for the double post.
You should look into the book which I received as a gift a couple years ago. Lots of fun stuff in there. Great coffee table book.

No comments on this week's episode? Leon vs. Michael Richards was pretty amazing.
I was thinking early in the season that they were going to work in Richards vs Leon somehow, knew it was coming. Still glad they went there though.
The thing with the 9 year old girl? Just shocking. That's about as far as I've seen any tv show take things. Funny and cringeworthy at the same time. I think I had the same look as Jerry did when they first said it in the show.

I listened to the Bill Simmons podcast with Super Dave/Funkhouser and he talked about how he had to tell Larry David "the joke" 5 or 6 times so he wouldn't be laughing during the episode. He said Seinfeld fell down laughing. Awesome show, the Black Swan episode was amazing.
I may be alone in this, but the fight between Micheal Richards and Leon in front of the tourists was probably the least funny bit in the show. It came across as a cheap, obvious laugh. But the rest was hilarious, especially Leon. When he was trying to pass himself off as a Jew while dressed as a member of the Nation of Islam I was roaring.
That Funkhauser joke was hilarious. I could hear my wife gasp in horror from the watching it in the other room.
BTW: Marty Funkhauser is played by Bob Einstein and is Albert Brooks' brother. Yes Albert Brooks' real name is Albert Einstein.
I had no idea they were related. I love the way Funkhouser just walks up to Jerry, introduces himself, and asks him if he'd like to hear a joke. Larry's frustration with him is palpable! Here's the joke if anyone is interested... wildly NSFW:

I thought it was weak too. Especially when Richards yelled "I wish there was a name I could call you that would make you feel as angry as I do!". The whole thing struck me as desperate and kind of lame. Still, a minor criticism of a great episode.
