This will be from games 1-35. This is alittle more than a month of games but I think it will be easier to track. Winners to be picked on Friday?

Player of the Month - Rick Nash
14G 15A for 30pts and a +12 over that span. Lead the league in Goals Scored over the Game 1-35 stretch. Was nominated for stars 8 times.
Defenseman of the Month - Duncan Keith
1G 17A for 18pts and a very strong +13. Leads the team in TOI and leads d-men in points.
Goalie of the Month
Ryan Miller went 11-4-0 with a 2.67 GAA and a SVG of 0.899
Rookie of the Month
I just realized Jonas Hiller is considered a rookie in this game, so I'll nominate him. He went:
5-2 with a 0.905 SV% and a 2.01 GAA. Since Miller has struggled lately, Hiller has really picked it up.

$50,000/week for GMs most active on MSN discussing trades. This award cannot be given to the same GM more than once per calendar month.
Do we have a payout for this? Id like to nominate myself for this week, making trades Caps/Bolts/Hawks and having several other discussions. I should win this every week.

IMO something needs to be rewarded for MSN activity. In the rules there is a ton of this saying GMs need to be active and care about their team and put time into their team. Its not that fun when you have the same GMs on MSN who dont want to trade or dont have assets that you want. Sure PM works but its very difficult to make a deal over PM.

Defenseman of the Month
Sheldon Souray
In 18 games, Souray had 11 goals and 11 assists. Lead ALL PLAYERS with 6 PPG's (still is the leader) and is #1 among all defensemen in goals and points. Also has 4 game tying goals.

Should be automatically eliminated from contention because he was lit up twice by Dallas. Roberto is very bashful about his save percentage because it's nothing to brag about. Also has a higher GAA than a unsung, cagey veteran rated 10 points lower.

I find PM works really well actually.
People have demanding careers and personal lives. We've become a lot more forgiving over the years when it comes to MSN time recognizing that it's just not possible for many to be on MSN.
But if you are seeking a trade - there's always one out there to be had.
I think the reason more trades don't happen isn't because lack of MSN time but moreso because GM's have their value expectations out of wack.
