Another one bites the dust.
Iowa loses to Northwestern 17-10 after their QB is injured in the 2nd quarter.

An Iowa finally goes down. I'm shocked it took this long. Great news for the Ducks as it'll move them up in the BCS standings.

I don't want to get overconfident about this game because Stanford's still a good team, but losing their top linebacker this week really hurts. I can see Stanford's offense really challenging the Ducks' pass coverage, but at the same time, I think there's no way Stanford has an answer to the Oregon ground game.

Kind of a shame to see Iowa lose because Stanzi got hurt. They more than likely would have suffered a loss anyways, but I was looking forward to seeing Iowa/Ohio State in the Horseshoe to see if Iowa was really worthy of that 9-0 record. If Iowa was an SEC team all we'd be hearing about is how gutsy and clutch they are (and how the SEC is sooo tough) and not how lucky they are.

If it was the SEC Iowa would have also got about 5-6 calls (or how ever many they needed) on the last drive to tie the game.

There's not a lot of teams that have an answer to Oregon's run game, but this is a classic let-down game in college football. Huge win at home one week and then a tough, under-rated team on the road the next week.
Like I said, Oregon likely wins, but I think Stanford is in it all game and anything can happen in that situation.

Haha - probably true.
Was anyone watching that game? People on a college football forum (neutral observers too) were saying that Iowa wasn't getting screwed on some blatant pass interference non-calls.

There were a couple of close calls that were good non-calls and one bad non-call in which the guy was held.
tough to say they were screwed because it was very close and tough to tell but on the replay the one was a definite PI. It would have only been for 10 yards and I think it was on third down on the last series so would have given them more downs.
Edit:the PI occured on 2nd down from the 32 on the pass to Moeaki.

Love seeing Navy take it to the Irish - up 14-0 and just had a huge 4th down stop on their own 3.

Oregon / Stanford is going to be so high scoring by the end of it. I think Oregon can get the points to get back in it, but the defense (and in particular the secondary) is going to have to start making some stops.

Claussen with two huge plays to give Navy the win!!
Can't believe that people suggested him for the Heisman earlier in the year.

If Navy somehow loses because they got a safety instead of a 4th down stop that'd be some luck for Notre Dame.

Wow, awful defense by LSU to let Jones go for a long TD off a little smoke screen.

It looks like this is the week that's going to really start settling many of the BCS debates.
Iowa loses.
Oregon is down by 20 with 8 minutes to play.
One of LSU or Bama is going to lose.
Boise St struggles with La Tech while TCU destroys a comparable San Diego St (combined with an Oregon loss) helps settle the BCS-buster debate.

What a play by Peterson. Wrong call on the field and it is so close they may not overturn it. Definitely an interception.

Yep, that's a bummer for LSU.
This game has been officiated flawlessly compared to some I've seen this year.
