Let's play a game, it would be awesome to post Google streetview views of the current view from generally the same angle of these pictures.

I saw a picture of a van in the other forum that read "The Albertan".
The Albertan was the predecessor to the Calgary Sun, I believe. I recall seeing the news paper when we first came to Canada in 1969.

This is apparently looking southbound on macleod, right around where canyon meadows drive would be now.

It's from Google Streetview, and there's a bad merger point between two images there. You can see the street light doesn't line up properly either.

put street view on full screen (not neccessary),
hit Print screen button,
open paint or any other photo program really (i know paint isnt a photo program.)
Ctrl+V or edit>paste, save (save as jpg, way smaller than BMP)
upload to photobucket or imageshack,
post to cp for all to enjoy.
I will be posting one from my work computer in about 1 minute

I remember that it really wasn't that long ago that Midnapore was a distinct town and the city basically ended at Canyon Meadows Drive.
