Default Driver Needed - Halloween Night. $160 for 4 hours

Hey Calpuckers. ** Position Filled Again - Thanks all **

I'm looking for someone who knows the city well and could stay up past 5:00am this coming Saturday.

I'm throwing a big party in the NW and want to hire someone to drive my guests home. (You simply can't count on cabs and waiting for a ride at the end of the night is a real buzz-kill).

I'll supply the vehicle / gas and I can guarantee $40 per hour for four hours. In the end, it might even be a little more.

I have done this a few times already and usually found someone through the grapevine. One time I did actually post on Calpuck and ended up getting an excellent dude to help out. Hope it works this time too.

So if you know Calgary quite well, would be OK driving groups of people around from 1:00am - 5:00am and want to make some quick cash - please PM me. (Dustin). Note - some of the people needing rides home will be hot chicks. (perk)

Dude check out kijiji - search for "driver" under services. I found this ad in a quick search, but there were pages and pages I didn't look through.
Experienced driver for courier/delivery services in and outside Calgary (including off-roads and remote areas anywhere in western Canada). Own 4x4 SUV, cell, GPS etc. Quick, safe and confidential!

Unfortunitly, the league was smart enough to not schedule us on Halloween this year. However, we do have a game on Nov 1st, so we make that our "repeat".

The first time?

I can hardly remember. I think there was a boat involved.

You would just say you're driving friends home if something happened.

Giving 'friends' a ride home should not be against any insurance policy just be careful what you say IF something were to happen.

If I was the person doing the driving I would make sure that the OP has enough coverage to cover your ass because you just never know.

Just for the record getting paid to drive someone is against your insurance policy if you have just regular coverage.

So if you were to get into an accident don't say you were being paid to drive these people home. First thing i learnt in my insurance courses at MRU was that even taking gas money from a friend is considered against your insurance policy. I guess they consider you using the car as a business.

The OP is providing his car though, so the driver isn't using his own vehicle for business purposes.

sounds like a good gig and a decent thing to do for your friends. although i will say, nothing worse then being a sober driver around a bunch of drunks!

insurance companies are not stupid. There is such a thing called "court" and lawsuits, truth will be told if anything were to happen. Being sued for millions is not worth it. Just get a bunch of tents and set them up throughout the house!
