Where is the love for the most entertaining team in the nation? Every Notre Dame game this year has the same script. She is up for grabs late in fourth quarter --heck right down to the final whistle. It's a pity they don't have a defense of note or heck even mediocre would do. If they did they would be right up there. Though they actually did something this game.

But is there a team playing more entertaining games?

Are you campaigning for votes based on entertainment value? Seriously?

No your are welcome to your playoff/no playoff BCS arguing. Go to it. I watch college football purely for entertainment. Arguing over votes is beyond completely pointless. The teams don't face each other, weaker and stronger conferences and on and on and on. They declare a national champion. Whoopee doo. They may be the best team and they may not be. Not worth caring about.

I watch and root for my team and entertainment value this year I'd stack them up against any other team easily. Heck I'm thinking there are very few teams they couldn't put up a game against and they would do it in an entertaining fashion.

I rate Notre Dame third. Behind USC and Michigan. Ahead of the 5 teams they beat. Anything else is just rubbish conjecture at best anyway.

How about my Wildcats! Stoops has them looking like a football program... maybe 3rd in the Pac-10 by the end of the year (behind USC and Oregon).
Yup, Wildcats are looking great. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull the upset in either their Oregon or USC game (particularly the Oregon one, since they'll have them at home).

Third based on entertainment value, or third based on better teams? I'm confused on what you're going for here.

If we're talking about most entertaining games a team has played I'd throw my Spartans into the ring too. 3 of 4 losses came on a single play, they're literally 3 plays away from 7-1. It's frustrating, but it's been damn entertaining.

Third based on teams they have played and the won loss record. Entertainment wise I'm thinking they are number one. Six games in a row decided late in the fourth or OT. Plus they weren't 7-3 games either. Plenty of action. Scoring. Great plays.

I kinda doubt any team has had their last six games be as close and entertaining!!!

I'm still confused, you think ND is the third best team in the country? The third most entertaining team? Michigan is ahead of them despite their losses? Color me confused.

As was mentioned more than once they are third in relation to the teams they have played. In other words to simplify it for you in a group of eight teams(those teams they have played plus themselves) they rank third. Which is the only reasonable non-baloney way to rate any group of teams. They have played 7 teams and are ranked third amongst them. They have beaten five teams and are ranked ahead of them. They have lost to two and are ranked behind them. In a scale of one to eight they are number three. Within what you would call Notre Dame's conference(that being whoever they play that year) they are third ranked. Clear enough for you yet? Mississippi has the same record and the fact that they are both ranked in the top 25 to me is totally meaningless. They haven't played each other and have no common opponents. There isn't one possible reason to rate them equally or to even rank them at all. Not one. Means zilch as the poll rankings usually do. The only ranking that means anything is the teams that have played Notre Dame(or insert anyone's favorite team) and how they have done against that group.

As for "entertaining" numero uno country wide as far as I've seen. Cliff hangers week after week after week. Exciting offense every week as well.

Well that's an interesting way to rank teams. So Florida is first among the teams they've played, my Spartans are 5th, etc. Add one to the loss total and you get your ranking, certainly a unique approach.

NCAA regulations rear their ugly head. Dez Bryant officially ineligible for the remainder of the season:

See you at the combine, Dez!

Texas at Ok. State today. Don't think the Cowboys have a shot but a lot of people seem to. I think this becomes the Longhorns statement game and we win by >25. Our D gets better each week led by future All American Earl Thomas (how good this kid has gotten in just his sophmore year is awesome).

Oregon vs. USC - A USC loss puts them out of the Nat'l Championship picture, but does it vault Oregon or Boise St. into it?

Florida-Georgia should be pretty lopsided.

Not a lot of good games this week. Tennessee - South Carolina could be good.

Watching yet another over rated Big 10 team getting smoked at home by a far inferior opponent.

Iowa, who i kind of like, is losing by 10 to a 4-4 Indiana team. An Indiana team that has lost to both Northwestern and Virginia this year. 5 INT's by Stanzi, their "all-star" QB.

All this while having perhaps the worst officiated football game I remember seeing...just horrible and this oncludes at least 2 botched replays as well. I have a feeling that this crew will be getting a sit down in the following weeks.

All that being said, there is still 15 minutes left and Iowa has had miraculous comebacks all year. See if they have a nother one in them.

Big 10 football is almost unwatchable as of late.

I think Iowa will likely pull it out because Indiana is pretty terrible, but how anyone can look at their play this year and think that they should be in the top 5 let alone in NC talk is insane.

Anyone watching the Auburn-Ole Miss game?

It is a battle of who wants to win less.

Both teams just gave up huge runs despite having monster SEC calibre defenses and then Ole Miss gets an extra point blocked and taken back for two points!

Terrible football all around.

35-24 iowa now.

This is just atrocious football AND officiating, and very rarely complain about officiating.

I agree. How was that not a touchdown? They even called it a td initially and there is no way there was enough evidence to overturn that call. Just a brutal game by the officials looked like they wanted Iowa to win.

How about this So. Miss and Houston game?

50-43 Houston in regulation.

1358 yds of offense. 919 passing yards. 439 rushing yds. 67 1st downs.

Case Keenum of Houston was 44/54 559 yds and 5 TD's.

Simply unbelievable numbers.
