Holy crap what an ending in that Bama Tennessee game ... way too close for comfort.
If Florida wins big today I'm guessing Bama and Florida will swap 1 and 2.

TENN was on the 28 with 40 seconds left. I thought maybe they could have run a few more plays and get closer since the kicker sucks? All they did was run the ball for no gain and then spike it at 0:04.

Montana takes out Sacramento State 45-30 in Sacramento. 914 yards total offense between the two teams, but not enough of it on the Montana side...almost even. I'm starting to wonder if the defensive side of the ball is good enough this year to hang with the big boys in the playoffs. Time will tell.
Next up, probably the toughest game of the regular season as the Griz get Weber State in Missoula next Saturday. Weber's not as good as they were last year, despite two close losses to division 1 teams (bad division 1 teams), they also lost at home to Montana State.
Here's to an Arizona State blowout of Stanford tonight and some playing time for Brock Osweiler!

I love the way Oregon is destroying the other PAC10 teams this year. Only close game was in UCLA with their backup QB, and that was still a 14 point victory. The rest have been complete routs. I really think they can take down USC next week, and if they do, they deserve to be the top one-loss team in the country (and possibly better than some of the 0 loss teams).

God the media love for the SEC is ridiculous. Pat Forde of ESPN writes last week that Texas looked terrible in their close win over OU. Guess what he says about Alabama's almost loss against Tenn., a team I might add that is pretty terrible. He calls it one of the best wins in Alabama history. So instead of getting leaped by Texas this week because they put together a crap performance they will stay where they are at because the media goes down on the SEC like its Megan Fox.

I agree completely. The only problem with that is the fact that Boise State beat them in the first week. Anything that gives Boise State (or the like) credibility, I'm per se against.
How about my Wildcats! Stoops has them looking like a football program... maybe 3rd in the Pac-10 by the end of the year (behind USC and Oregon).

No he doesn't. He calls the FG block a great moment in the teams long and storied program.
He says its one of those iconic monents in Alabama histroy, and as he points out, should they go undefeated the whole season, it certainly will be remembered as a HUGE point in getting there.
Nothig wrong with that story whasoever, it was mostly just quotes from the players and Saban.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/colum...1&sportCat=ncf
And ESPN is not the "media", merely just a part of it. There is no reason for Texas to be ahead of Bama when the poll comes out today. That stuff can actually be settled on the field this year as Bama/Fla will play one another and the horns hold their destiny in their hands to finish #2.

Why did Bama ever jump Texas than? It was because Texas had a bad game and Bama was playing good should the reverse be true?
Also, why is the focus on this close game and an earlier one he wrote about Florida's close game with LSU about heroic performances and the Texas OU article he just craps on how bad Texas looked?

Nothing more than Weber is historically a great home team within the conference!

Yeah, it's sickening. The expectations for teams outside the SEC is to win their games 45-10.
Texas' 'terrible' performance was more like a great battle between two excellent defenses.

I haven't been able to see the gators in person since 2001 because I moved to Iowa. Well this summer me and my fiance moved down to tuscaloosa alabama and I went to Starkville last night for the football game..
When my friend and I pulled into town I was quite suprised how small it was. It reminded me of small town Iowa. We got to park for free at a church and walked about 1 mile to the downtown area. I couldn't find tickets online but I had to scalp them and got jipped on price but I wasn't missing this game for sure. I payed 160 dollars for 2 tickets on the very last row in the upper bowl.
Couple of things I noticed that GOD THATS ALOT OF GATOR FANS. I wasn't expecting that many. I was also worried about being stuck in a group of MSU fans but my whole section was nothing but UF fans and the section on the other side was nothing but UF fans and it was great. The MSU fans were GREAT. That had to be the best experience I ever had at someone elses home for a football game. The tailgating was good and I hung out with the UF Tailgators and drank some brews and had some fun.
The game was a good one but poor playcalling made me scratch my head alot. a couple that come to mind were the 3 short side passes at the end of the half that led to the pick 6. Also why in the world would you throw the ball when your up by 16 with 4 mins to go in the game and your on your own 2 yard line?
I was proud of how well the Defense played with out Spikes. Heck our D gave up 9 points and our offense gave them 13. Not bad but the offense has to protect the ball better.
But any ways here are my pics of the game. Some are not the best because I had to use the digital zoom but they looked okay.
I was soooooo happy I went to this game. I fianally got to see tebow in person. I'm going to try to make it to gainsville for the FIU game this year.
Here are my photos

I also have a bunch of videos Just have to upload them to youtube. I got the Tebow under centre play.

Danny Sullivan tweaked his knee late in the game last night and Brock Osweiler got to come in for two series at Stanfrod. The game was out of hand, but he played pretty well, had a couple of drops and made a couple of really nice throws. Unbelievable athleticism for a 6' 8" guy that was evident on a couple of scrambles...and the commentators were saying that Mark Few wanted him to play point guard at Gonzaga, which I was not aware of. I knew he had a ride to Gonzaga but assumed he'd play the 4 spot.
It will be interesting to see how he progresses. Seems like he's got an excellent chance of getting a shot in the NFL.

Is he playing bball as well? He might have a better shot at the NBA if he's 6'8 and athletic enough to play the 1.

No, he's not going to play at ASU, though clearly he could if he had a scholarship to Gonzaga. I think he's decided football is the way to go.
