Game 3 is on at 2:00 this afternoon for anyone that cares and may have forgotten. I've got my PVR set.

Holy Hell am I annoyed that I couldn't find the Phillies-Dodgers game on TV. From the highlights, looked like an amazing game. They are pure clutch.

Sportsnet Pacific had it, but of course you have to give them extra money to be able to see it. Sportsnet tries to show too many live sporting events, and it ends up screwing themselves over. They need a Sportsnet II, and they need to get rid of the regional channels.

Just heard this story on ESPN...
Sunday night there was the NFL game between the Bears/Falcons on at the same time the Dodgers/Phillies were playing.
In Los Angeles, a city without an NFL team, the football game garnered 15% MORE viewers than the baseball game featuring a local team did.
That is simply unreal and speaks volumes as to how far baseball has slid out of the collective psyche of the USA sports watching public.
Wow.

That is a shock. I thought the Dodgers were real big in LA.

Probably a product of the game not being on Network T.V. Why MLB put it's playoff games on Peachtree or TBS or whatever is unfathomable to me. There had to be a National T.V. Option for them, but they chose to ignore it. For those who hack the NHL for going with Verses over ESPN....this is a much bigger head scratcher in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure TBS / Peachtree is on cable nationally in the US. It is one of the original "superstations" after all.

I guess mistakes happen, but that missed double play had to be one of the worst Elmer Fudd calls of all time. How could he have possibly missed it I'll never know.

I think A-Rod is landing a plane in the Hudson River after the game.

There has seemingly been so many missed calls this post season. Maybe it's just magnified because of the playoffs, I don't know.

That third base ump is blind as a bat. How he doesn't get fired for blowing 2 obvious calls is beyond me. Calling Swish out for leaving third base before the ball was caught was a horrible call. Although at the time I figured it was a makeup for calling Swish save at second just before that when the tag beat him to the bag. But the missed double play was even more horrendous.

What is baseball policy on firing umps?
That 3rd base ump should not be able to ump another mlb game in his fat life. Not the reasons the Angles lost obviously but momentum swings like that could of cost either team in a close game.

I just don't ge how Swisher could be called out when the ump wasn't even watching. Th other ones as bad as they were, were judgement calls.

Is this the least exciting post season ever? Aside from a couple of good games (and the really good game 163) I've barely been interested.

I think its one of the better post-seasons of the last few years. Lots of extra inning games and late inning dramatics.

Congrats to the Phillies!
Anyone notice the gradual bandwagonness and growing ubiquity of Phillies' ballcaps?
