NON!! Random Rants!
I just can't express how much I love it when my parents (who live in northern B.C.) show up at my front door step in Calgary, Completely unannounced with absolutely no warning what so ever!!,,,,to just "pop in" and spend a couple of days in my house that is sooo Ill-equiped for even 1 "guest", let alone two!!
I love my parents dearly, But I can't begin to put into words, the stress that is generated by their "surprise visits".
I guess after all I put them through while I was growing up, They have every right to cause me grief.
Still pisses me off though.

Creating a new thread for random rants is ridiculous! Rants are a subset of thoughts and there is already a thread for random thoughts!

They should put that under my name. Minister of All Things Random 
Rants fall under thoughts. Actually I think the majority of posts in there have been rants.

I went with "Rants" because the "thoughts" were not often people venting, But more like "obscure" thoughts.
A Rant is something that pisses you off.
A thought is anything and usually just that, Random.

I absolutely hate posters that don't care what your post said and just want to rag on somebody.
I don't dislike Shawnski or anything but he totally did it to CalgARI the other day after the Canucks game.
Dude had an entire, well thought out post full of positives and Shawnski highlighted one small portion, intentionally took it out of context and then tried to make ARI look like a moron for no reason.
Had the ARI's original post been just the negative stuff, I would have totally understood Shawnski's response, but it wasn't so why do it?
To be clear, I'm not picking on Shawnski on purpose. I am actually just using that as an example of cases when people make ridiculous posts for no reason. That being said I thanked the rant because I thought it was funny, even if totally unnecessary.
For some reason some idiot keeps doing that to me. I make a totally normal post and some idiot comes along and rips it apart.
I take my time to explain, although not very nicely, that this guy is mistaken and that he has no idea what he's talking about and that wasn't what I said at all.
So the farking idiot goes back and requotes the SAME post and just bolds the part in question this time without ANY mention of the fact that I already showed him that he was making a mistake and taking my post out of context.
I know I rag on people as much as the next guy. But do posters really just lurk on CP looking for the slightest thing to bitch at someone about?
I don't know about you guys but I don't come to CP for the sole purpose of intentionally taking peoples posts out of context so that I can call them morons. Sure if I see something I think is really dumb I'll point it out but generally I like to engage the posters I think are smart and try and make a point of telling them I like their contributions, or at the very least thanking them, because I enjoy their level headed discussions and insights.
/rant.
BTW thanks to everyone who isn't a moron, even if we don't agree.

I'm so pissed off at discoverying Chinese Bakerys! Especially when I already have icecream cake in my freezer that I had forgotten about! 
But what is worse is when I'm wearing my jeans that scream at me to stop!...all the while looking for a thread on CP that will help me with my homework!!!
