Yes they must win cause Slovenia should destroy San Marino.
Draw or loss and they're in the playoffs.

You cheating lying Slovakians paid off the cheating lying Polack defender. I mean, an own goal in the third minute? Way too obvious.

So far the Argies look like crap but Uruguay look really nervous.0-0 at the half.

If the coach can somehow calm the Uruguay guys down they could get a goal in the 2nd half.

Uruguay got a guy sent off (what else is new) and Argentina have taken the lead.
The Uruguayans had a brilliant strategy in this game. Never pass the ball into space, dribble the ball into trouble and lose it, for 90 minutes. Pathetic.

I don't think we're as dissapointed that Slovakia is in, we're dissapointed how Poland and the Slovaks both got manhandled by Slovenia 3-0 and 2-0. Nobody saw that coming. I don't think the slovaks would have made it bai a home and home playoff. So good on them for winning today. Poland is alot easier than the top 4 seeds in a playoff.

The czechs played better in the second half of qualify. However there first coach couldn't get the players to play. It happens the Czechs will miss the world cup, good teams miss out on occasion. Look even England failed to qualify for Euro 2008. The Czechs are a small country and will go up and down, they are young and will continue to get better. The team looks alot better allready with Rosizky back, he was missed in the first half of qualifying.

			Ouch...
That said I think Costa Rica will demolish Uruguay in the playoffs.

CONCACAF football has improved alot while South American football has declined. Watching Uruguay today, they could play until new years and not mount a decent attack. Plus Costa Rica plays on that fake grass which Uruguay will not like at all.

Portugal in the playoffs puts a huge smile on my face considering how bad it looked in the summer. They have been horrible the entire campaign minus the final two games. But it doesn't take much to look good vs Malta and Hungary.
Nani looked very strong today and poised to take the starting spot over Simao as the other winger for the playoff. I have never liked Nani, he's a spoiled, whiny self centered little bitch. But damn, he played well today. If he cleans up his act, I can see myself getting on board with his game. He's still young and still has plenty to learn.

Hmmm....it seems that liking whiny, self centred, spoiled bitches is beginning to become your MO. Did you pick up a Burrows jersey while I wasnt looking too?
