sure there is the swamp on a saturday night!
Good game and people are pissed that UF just doesn't chuck the ball all over the field. When you can run it the way they are there is no reason to cause turnovers (see tebow throwing a pick in the 4th)
The defense is STOUT. its going to be great. I'm already tired of hearing from the bama fans.

Congrats to the Gators, the path to the SEC championship game seems to be yours. Hopefully LSU will get a rematch.
Both defenses played well, I think Jordan Jefferson just isn't ready for primetime.

And OU drops after a win..... no worries I guess...
I have 1 question, LSU how many times does Florida have to run the same play before you decide to try and stop a basic half back dive???
One good thing about the game is at least Tebow shouldnt be considered a Heisman contender anymore.... How do you call all the other penalties in that game and dont call the Florda receiver for pass interference on Tebow's Td pass?

And this proves that people who vote don't actually watch football games.
Crazy that after the way they have played there are 10 people dumb enough to think that Alabama is the best team in the country.

You don't think that has anything to do with Florida's line simply being better than LSU's?? It's not a matter of not trying to stop it, it's a matter of not being able to.

Floridas Oline as well as D dominated the game.
I can care less if tebow wins the heisman but the game wasn't in doubt at all. When you run the ball the way they do it's hard to stop them..
WR PI doesn't matter anyways the kid wouldn't of done anything other wise he bit on the PA. But i guess that turned the game blah blah blah watch football people grab and tug on WR's and CB's all the time. besides the ref in his position didn't see it anyways.
Nick you never answered my question about bradford being in late in the 4th when the game was in hand throwing TD passes?
I saw this on Rivals today
Quote:
The Gators have given up two touchdowns in five games, and for all the acclaim the Alabama defense is given - and it's deserved - Kentucky gained 301 yards and scored 20 points on the Tide a week after it gained 179 yards and scored seven points against Florida. Florida's defense is the best in the SEC - and the best in the nation.

The Bama Ole miss game was pathetic and hard to watch when Snead and company were puttiing bows on everything and giving bama great field position and only coming away with FG after FG.
That game shows that McElroy is an average at best qb and isn't the same guy that we saw earlier this year. I thought he was better than that but wow.
People are mad that UF goes into a very hostile place wins and beats the spread but they are mad that UF didn't pile up 60 points and didn't chuck the ball all over the field.
I am getting upset with the offense a bit because its so vanilla but its doing its job.
My question is how many offsides penalties can one team have? Oh and Nick the PI call got a make up call on a helmet to helmet call later in the game that wasn't called on james. BTW the Corner didn't even protest the call so I really dont think its that bad.
The way the team (crimson tide) is being talked about in the local press and I think they are setting them up for a let down. I will probably be at the south carolina vs bama game (home coming) and I think there is a chance for a upset in this game.
Bama fans and players are starting to get upset that they are not number one in the country when everyone around here is all over them.
Nick here is to OU winning the red river shootout!
boomer sooner. I really hate texas and everything about the fans state and football program.

Well There is a difference in leaving Sam in to shake the rust off and leaving Tebow in to pad his heisman stats and run up the score. Bradford hasnt played in 3 weeks and has the biggest game of the year next week. They were just making sure he could handle a whole game throwing and not have his shoulder bother him. Stoops was asked this after the game and pretty much summed up his response with my previous statement!

The BCS is all about money not crowning a true champion. Now it will have to stand up to an antitrust lawsuit. http://www.ksl.com/?nid=294&sid=8296314 A number of other states have already indicated they will join.
If it brings a playoff I don't have a problem with it.

OMG another playoff person. that takes away everything from college football. were every game means a big thing. But then your going to have a team like OSU UF OU UT someone get left our so you dont hurt the feelings of some mid major like BSU and basically that screws the whole system. Bowl games are what makes college football special not a playoff system..

not really... your not a for a playoff right now bc the BCS is working and giving you natl titles games right now. Its not fair that you get to play a season worth of cupcakes and play one big game an go to the title. Miami played 4 straight ranked Non conf games. They get beat by one of them and will have to get some huge breaks to make it. You get to sleep walk through a season and can make it.
If your Gators had to play 3 games against tough opponents to win a natl championship in a play off then you might slip up and get beat. Thats why the schools who continually make it to the title game dont have a beef with it . Team like :::::shudder::::: TExas :::::shudder::::::::: got screwed last year and would have benefited by a playoff by at least having a chance or winning the title.

My team has won two BCS titles in the past 7 years and I'm all for a playoff.
As for the antitrust suit, I have little faith in that actually working. When Utah Sen. Hatch addressed this issue, he just looked like a crybaby, IMO.

The one major problem I have with the BCS system is that it doesn't really encourage people to schedule tough ooc games, at least games with tough ooc mid-majors like TCU, Utah, BYU and Boise.
Why risk losing to a perceived "B" team (like oregon did) when you can schedule Florida International and crush them 56-0

I personally like the bowls system. I think a playoff wouldn't be right in college football.
I think the BCS is better than the old system but could get better.
Floirda is gettitng the shaft this year because everyone in the east is sucking big time. they had Utah on the sched and they backed out so insert CsU.
I like the bowl system becuase it makes winning more important than just getting into the playoffs.
I also think that it would take away from the excitement of CFB.
I dont like 1-aa like northern iowa because its boring to me. woopie you make the playoffs with 3 or 4 losses and could win the championship. thats not right because it gives you leway(sp) on games that you can lose.

Don't get me wrong, I like the bowl system too. The one way they could do it is have six conference champions and 2 at-large berths. It might encourage people to schedule tough OOC games to get them the at-large even if they don't win their conference.

This is the thing playoff advocates overlook, going to a playoff kills the importance of the regular season. Lose a game in September to Stanford? Who cares, doesn't matter. A showdown between two top 5 teams? I'm not making as much effort to watch it if it doesn't really mean much beyond seeding for the playoffs.
Sorry, I'm not down for trading the week in and week out importance and excitement of college football for 3 weeks of playoffs at the end of the year.
And don't forget, all a playoff does is shift the controversy from who's number two to who's number eight, it doesn't do anything to resolve that selection process. Unless of course you're one of those people who backs the 'every conference winner' system, because of course Troy deserves a playoff spot.
I'm a fan of the plus one system. Play the bowl games, make teams win big matchups against other great teams, and then decide who the top two teams are. It's not perfect, but at least you force teams to prove themselves and build a better resume upon which to make the selection.

Can't do it that way, if you thought that anti-trust suit was a joke before it would be all but a slam dunk after you switched to a system like that.
