If you can get passed the 10 minute monologue that David delivers in the
begining of the movie, you will discover a version of Larry David
that is much more bitter and a lot darker than the one you are used to.
Without spoiling, Borris (Larry David) finds the perfect companion, a young woman who is too stupid to make sense of the barrage of insults launched at her from this "Genius" old man who happens to have the worst outlook on life in all of history.
Although not too frequent, the portions of the movie where Borris looks into the camera and narrates, or "speaks to the audience", is, in my opinion, irritating.
Without giving away any more of the plot line, I will say that the IMDB rating of 7.7 is off by 1 point (IMO),,,It should have been an 8.7...(pretty high by their standards) This movie was very funny, Had just enough David and just enough Allen.

..Definitely NOT! a "streaming pile of crap".
But it's not a version of Larry David. It wasn't even co-written by him... Written by Woody Allen for the late Zero Mostel, so not even written with Larry in mind. I think a Woody Allen buff would be more interested in this movie than a Larry David one.

Just finished watching it. Easily the worst episode of the season, although that still doesn't mean alot considering the first three episodes were absolute gold. You can't expect every one to be outstanding. I still say this is on pace to be the best season of Curb ever.
Cool to see Bookman on there, I love the odd random Seinfeld extras and references that appear from time to time. And on a side note, what chick who brings a guy home and doesn't mention she has a boyfriend then turns around and tells her boyfriend the guy's name, along with his phone number and address?? Talk about sending an innocent victim down the river. I'd kill her.
Just watched the new one, hahahaha!! Classic! After a weak one last week she's definitely back on track. I pretty much laughed from start to finish. Wendy Wheelchair. That sex scene was classic!
Loved Leon too: "Did you bring it?" Sweet fancy Moses do I love this show.

Last weeks episode wasn't weak. It was hilarious. It's just that the other episodes have been so damn good. You're spoiled man.
