He also makes a stab at singing ala Mos Def which seems to have worked out alright.
That's the guy Shak kept talking about in Vegas right?

She gets points for recreating a hotter albeit PG-13 version of a French Maid routine but that voice is so grating... "There's a she wolf in your closet" <shudder>

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (NBC): Living Colour
The band is set to perform “Behind The Sun” on Fallon tonight. The track is from the new The Chair In The Doorway, the NYC group’s first release in six years. Along with the new album, LC will be promoting its North American tour, which is in progress until the end of October. Apparently, the band that got its start in 1983 still has what it takes to wow a crowd. [Magnet Magazine]

Listened to a song from Matthew Good's Vancouver CD, I liked it a lot. Haven't really listened to a lot of his music before, so someone recently loaned me 8 or 9 CD's from both Matthew Good Band and Matthew Good, I don't know where to start.

What are your favourites?

If those 8 or 9 cd's includes "In a Coma" Id recommend starting there, as its basically just a "greatest hits" cd, the second disc is fantastic, its an acoustic reworking of some of his songs and then a couple LPs on one disc

Live at massey hall is a good disc as well, which is obviously a live cd

for studio albums Id probably go:

Underdogs
Last of the Ghetto Astronauts
Hospital Music
Avalanche
White Light rock and roll review
Beautiful Midnight
the Audio of Being

since you said 8 or 9 cds Im guessing that includes EPs/LPs
Loser Anthems
Raygun
Lo-Fi B sides (which Id be surprised if that was included)

Thanks czure32, I have that whole list, plus a CD called Hospital Music.
Don't have the last 3 you mentioned or the live recording.

That helps.

I haven't had a chance to listen to any of his new stuff.. but assuming it's like his last couple of discs.. then I'd start with his solo stuff first (Hospital Music, Avalanche, White Light Rock and Roll Review etc).

Not that there's anything wrong with his solo work.. but I always liked the stuff he did with the 'band' a bit more. Maybe it's just me, but I noticed a change of sound when he started doing the solo stuff.

Brother Ali's newest album Us just dropped. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you like hip hop buy it. If you like Lil Wayne, well, ignore it.

I'm obviously a Rhymesayers fanboy, but too awesome. Felt 3: A Tribute To Rosie Perez is coming out 11/17/09. Slug and MURS again, this time bringing Aesop Rock along on some production.

Brand New Eyes is a pretty solid album. I'm not sure if it is my favorite of the three Paramore has released, but it is growing on me. The Resistance is great, one of the best albums I have heard in awhile, but Muse are fantastic so I expect nothing less from them. How is Matthew Good's album?

That Shakira video is one of the hottest videos I've seen in a LONG time.

Rammstein's new album releases on October 16th. Can't wait. If you haven't seen their new video, it's pretty crazy. NSFW though. "P*ssy*
