If KC had won it sure would have knocked a lot of people out of the survivor pool.
As it is, so far only the people who didn't pick and carom (who picked cin) are out.

Agreed...KC actually didnt look bad at times...but Croyle was just in over his head.
That D though...jeez they seem to not be on the same page at all.
Either way though....any of Denver/KC/Oakland could finish last in that division IMO.

As much as I DON'T buy into the Cassell hype, he is most certainly a way better option than Croyle and upon his return they will improve by quite a bit.
The return of Brandon Flowers will be big too.

Well Croyle did manage to not turn the ball over against the Ravens which is a pretty rare feat. Plus he didn't get knocked out of the game in the second quarter which is a huge plus for him given how last year went.
Still the Chiefs managed one sack in a game where Flacco dropped back for 40+ passes. Tells me that the defence still can't generate much of a pass rush, and thats always going to let your pass defence get lit up even if you have the greatest secondary back there in coverage.
At the end of the day the Chiefs won the turn over battle, got a huge play on special teams. Lost by 14 points. No need to sugar coat it. They suck, just not as bad as I thought they might. I figured this one would be 30-3 for the Ravens.

I don't understand why everyone thought the Jets were going to be bad. If Favre wasn't injured at the end of the season we would have won the division. It of course all relies on how good Sanchez is and so far so good. The Jets D gave up 0 pts. with the Texans only td off of a interception. The best part about their D was that it was obvious that Ryan was not showing anything in the preseason they gave some awesome disguised looks. Schaub didn't throw a pass without getting knocked on his butt. Jets will be 2nd in their division and compete for a wild card. Unless you are one that thinks that the Bills will be good, which I guess if the media predicts it every year one day it will be true.

I didn't think they were going to be bad....I just thought they might struggle a bit offensively, especially early in the season. Houston should be a tough road game even without a rookie QB.
The Jets just went in there and owned Reliant.
I don't think it's a stretch, or a sleight against the Jets, to say that is surprising.

Cutler wouldn't take no for an answer, he made sure he got intercepted.

All 3 close picks were the receivers fault. Cutler threw where it was supposed to go.

I'm not watching, but keeping track with one of the online stats trackers. I'm not a real vindictive kind of guy, but I want the Bears to go 0-16 really bad. The Broncos own their first rounder!

Disagree. Throwing it at the fatty D lineman was on him, and that last one, even if the receiver was where he was "supposed to be" would have been a throw into triple coverage. As a Broncos fan, I've seen plenty of it. He's having a rough go of it, but it's how he plays. Big plays or picks, very little in between.

I think Finner was referring to the series in the first quarter where Cutler had 3 near picks on two plays in a row, then a pick in the third play.
I dont think you can say anything nice about the last two INTs. And as a rival fan, this stink fest at QB makes me happy. Although I'm 100% sure Rodgers will be much better as the season progresses. Cutler? Well I have my doubts.
