What the hell? Weis, you don't ever take a shot down the field with 2 minutes to play if winning, you run the clock.

What the hell? It was 11 seconds not 9, plus the reciever has to get down...

Weak.

No they didn't. A Notre Dame player touched the ball on the kickoff.

EDIT: Actually that was weird. How did that happen?

I'm not sure if he did either, and it doesn't make sense why it was changed right before the snap. Not that two extra seconds would've mattered, but still.

I think the 2 seconds would have mattered. ND had a timeout left I think and they could have called a TO and taken a shot at the endzone.

Personally I think that whole thing was BS. Why didn't they review the clock? Not reviewable maybe? Both on the kickoff and on the last play of the game. If that receivers knee is down ND could have called a timeout.

Typical of NCAA football though.

The real stupid play was the running back taking the taunting penalty. That cost them bigtime. What an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!! Great display by two good offense's or was it two crappy defense's. Probably a combo of both.

That actually didn't matter at all. IIRC Michigan punted, ND threw on 2 consecutive downs and didn't try to kill the clock and then the Wolverines scored on the next possession, so the penalty didn't really matter.

Of course it mattered. Field position makes all the difference and that cost them plenty.

Field position is irrelevant if they can move the ball. Plus 2 bonehead play calls from Wiess.

Field position is always relevant. Changes the whole play calling process on both sides. They could have had them pinned deep. Instead they end up pinned deep. Wiess likely thought they had to go for it knowing his punter and how they were going to give them yet another short field to work with.

That beyond stupid selfish idiot cost them. Personally when I coached high school football any player who did that received a couple of messages from me. One a verbal one and one a guide to his new position--bench warmer.

I was pretty skeptical of Tate Forcier (he was the guy who posted all of his LOI's on the internet) -- both of his brothers were NCAA QB's that never amounted to anything and subsequently transferred. He sure doesn't have the size for a prototype QB but he sure is playing well.

Big comeback win by USC -- it looked like OSU carried the play but never ended up with points. Prior to that last USC drive, their only TD came while starting at the 5 -- not really that impressive. Looks like Barkley was injured as he was favouring his arm the entire fourth quarter -- that last drive was all Joe McKnight though. Man those USC RB's are good.

OSU is now 45-2 in their last 47 home games.

Winning there in any fashion as a visitor is impressive.

Michigan's Tate Forcier showed amazing poise for a true freshmen QB.
That last drive was incredible.
