Problem is you see a lot of NFL games like that. I'm just not a huge fan of 4 downs football where they run the ball a lot. I like the offensive aspect of the game and IMO the CFL does a better job of delivering that.
Now that's not to say the NFL is inferior in any way. It has it pluses and all, It's just that I don't get excited by low scoring games where the defence dominates.
Debate what? You're welcome to your opinion, just as I'm welcome to mine.
Yep, that's fine.

Again, the reason you see more low-scoring NFL games is because there are more games. I remember quite a few low-scoring games and ridiculously one-sided affairs during the CFL's venture into American expansion.

And that's fine. I get pumped when the defense makes big plays and huge stops on third down. I also love a really methodical running game. The funny thing about that is that I'm an Eagles fan, and they're a very pass-heavy team.
That's the other thing about the NFL; it really depends which team you're watching. Go watch a Saints, Eagles, Patriots, or Colts game and tell me there's no passing.

haha no kidding. the special one certainly has a negative attitude towards anything cfl. pathetic? really? if you don't like it thats fine, theres no need to call it crappy or whatever.
i think you missed the point, the ratings don't show whats more exciting for everyperson. bowling gets better ratings than hockey in the lower states, soccer, that doesn't mean bowling is better!
the NFL doesn't beat the CFL for ratings for regular season games and most superbowl ratings are comparable to grey cup ratings.
the CFL isn't a crappy product, but thats my opinion i suppose. to say something is crappy you have to compare it to something right? so according to ratings (that seems to be how you are comparing quality) the superbowl is crappy because it gets beat in the ratings by the world cup of soccer and the olympics...

I call BS. Link please. The Superbowl is the most watched event in North America every year. Nobody cares is 1.5 billion people in Africa watch something, the advertising revenue is in the USA because that's where most of the world's wealth is.
Snoozer? This game is an OT thriller! More points does not equal more entertainment.
Yeah, but just imagine how exciting it would be if there was a long field goal attempt in OT that missed and the ball was punted out, punted in, punted out, punted in.........
2 seconds on the clock from the 40 yard line, do you think the kicker really cares about making the FG? no, he kicks it as hard as he can knowing he can win the game if he misses...it's a joke.
I think you missed my main point entirely. Football has different ways to score points and you get different amount of points depending on how difficult the objective you achieved was. A single is less difficult to get then a field goal thus it is worth 1/3 of the points in the same way a field goal is less difficult to get then a touchdown and is worth less points accordingly. In your example if the kicker can actually kick the ball 67 yards then the offense and the special teams did enough to score one point and win the game. Which is no more of a joke then the team that kicks a field goal at the end of a 2 point game to win it instead of scoring a touchdown.

if you read the article, World Cup doubled Superbowl ratings, Olympics were 3rd (ok, superbowl beat them) then soccer got another spot, 5th went to nascar.
i don't care if you think the States are all that matters (if so, why are you claiming NFL does better than CFL in Canada, if Canada doesn't matter?).
im using your terms, since you seem to base quality of product on ratings. if 1.5 billion people in Africa can watch something, that means they have tvs, meaning they have money to spend, meaning marketers care about them. but world cup numbers aren't huge because of africa, most of Africa is poor. its Europe, where believe it or not, there is plenty of money.
the Superbowl may be the most watched event in North American though, you could be right, but who the frick cares? so because Hockey isn't it must be crappy right?
my point is that ratings aren't everything.
the best ratings for anything in Canada has been for Hockey, i think it was 10 million for the SLC Gold medal game. Superbowl has never gotton half that number...but we are Canada, so we must not matter right?

bingo!
a kicker has to kick it at least 30 yards to get it through the endzone, i have no problem with that getting a point, but it should get less points then a field goal, obviously, which it does.
I went to an Aussie football game while i was in Australia, it was interesting, to get 6 points they had to kick it through uprights, on either side was another upright, so 3 spots to kick through. center gets 6, if you miss, but are close, you get 1 for hitting through the outer spots, if you miss those, you get nothing. its an interesting type of football

Hard to argue with logic
Good point about the number of games. Some teams do pass a lot that for sure - something I forgot during my brain cramp

It's all good. I like that there's an option for people to attend football games in Canada.
I think a lot of the loyalty to the CFL stems from national pride and having a hometown team. It's hard to get behind a team that's 3000 km away from you if you don't have any personal ties to that team.

The last 10 minutes is going to more exciting than any of the 16 NFL games this week.
NFL needs a better OT format than "coin toss wins the game" yawnnnnnnn.
Yep, The Cody Pickett Show is thrilling.
And as for the second part of your post; I didn't realize that NFL offenses scored everytime they touch the ball. That must be why CFL plans complain about all of the low scores.

You just might make me look up last year how often the winner of the coin toss won an NFL OT game. I won't because I don't care that much, but my guess would be 75% of coin toss winners won the game.
Really enjoyed the Stamps Esks game, less so the TiCats Argos.
Amazing how Burris can throw 3 INTs and still have a great game.
