That's awesome! I still only have the one mic, so I won't try the harmonies. They are apparently the hardest part of the game. But a mic stand would be a good idea - especially for playing the Ed Sullivan Theater set.

I might end up picking this up later on - the $250 price point for $40 tracks seems to be a lot of cash to spend on it.
Looks interesting though!

Yeah $250 to me seems like a rip, $50 more and you have a Ps3 slim. I'll likely pick up just the game and use my old RB equipment.

Singstar for ps3 comes with 2 mics so I was all ready set. Lips for xbox comes with 2 as well.

i am thinking about getting the game itself. i already have all the regular instruments and really have no desire to buy the special beatles versions. that will definitely help keep the cost down for me. i have very much enjoyed having rock band as i was a late comer to the whole music game genre.

Do the Lips mics work with Rock Band now? I know at one point they were waiting for a patch.

I've heard that the game is really easy on the instruments but fairly difficult vocally for veterans of the genre, which is fine with me. My wife, on vocals, is the star of our band and it will be nice for the rest of us to match her 95%+ on every song once in a while.

They will work with beatles rockband. A patch will be released probably this week to make them compatible with rockband 2.

Not a big fan of the music games, but I'm a big fan of the Beatles. This game looks really good. Kind of like an interactive version of the Beatles anthology.

Any word if there's any midnight sellings tonight? I doubt there are, but with the remastered CDs being released at the same time, I suppose it's possible.

You call 95% a "star"?
You or your wife wouldn't last 5 minutes in Meow Meow Warning.

Well then I guess we couldn't, whatever meow meow warning is.
I guess you get a cookie or gold star if you can, along with a pat on the back.

I had to start from scratch, so to speak, with my instruments because I'm new to the latest generation of consoles. You can pick up Rock Band 2 with a guitar, mic, and drums for about $150, which will save you a little bit of coin if you don't want to fork out for the "Beatles" plastic instead. Then just buy the Beatles game (or a game/guitar bundle if you need an extra guitar).
I'm more interested in the game than I am about what fake drums I'll be fake drumming on.

Well, since you wont get into Meow Meow Warning, you could try out for Liquid Courage. We tend to get pretty drunk and the singing goes to S***.

I just picked it up at the HMV in Market Mall. I'm now counting down the seconds until I can get home to fire it up in the wii.
