Initial reports are that Bradford's x-rays are negative and that it's a sprain of the "AC Joint" which usually requires a few weeks of rest.
Regardless, I'm not impressed with Oklahoma at all. I know it's early, but without Bradford (possibly) and in the Big 12, I don't see them being in contention for the national championship.
As I type this Jones gets hammered by BYU defense.
Oklahoma blocking scheme and oline is terrible. Texas will eat them alive.

Its a practically brand new line , let them get a lil experience..... Geez... its like saying FLames were going to end up in last place in the NW after their opening game last year...

If losing a game meant the same thing in both leagues that would be a sensical comparison, but it doesn't. We all know that if OU drops 2 games any chances at a national title are all but dead, and the way they look that doesn't seem like much of a stretch. A loss here alone means that they'll need help to get to the title game.

By the time they gel, red shirt QBs might be taking off their red shirts because of injuries. Not sure what Stoops is thinking not having a better blocking scheme in after his QBs take 4 big hits in 2 series. Keep a RB or FB in to help the young line.
A nice run by Oklahoma... oh wait, O-line holding.
Texas looks dominating.

When you play in a conference like the Big 12 or SEC, why would you schedule a legit game first week? Take on East Texas School for the Deaf, work out some kinks and then head into the meat of the schedule.
I know schedules are determined years in advance, but BYU is pretty legit year after year.

First game? Nah... I get scheduling a good non-conference game, but get some actual game experience first. It's not worth it to start off the season 0-1 because you wanted to make a little extra cake by taking on BYU (which I don't think was a big draw anyways).
Run up 50+ first week, build come confidence, and then take on a better team. I just don't get it.

Oh I agree that it's not worth it, I'm just saying that the thinking behind booking such a game is probably the payday that comes with it. I'm sure Jones dished out plenty of cash for the first college game in his new cathedral.

Alabama undisciplined again, going to cost them a TD and the lead.
