So they put this thing called a "Smoke Bomb" in the car, which apparently is supposed to suck all the smell out of the car. I went back in tonight to smell the car and while it had improved, you could still smell smoke. They said it was just a small one and they would put in a large one tomorrow. However, I'm getting a bit fed up and if I smell any smoke tomorrow night still, I'm forgetting about that car.

In a way yes, but I've learned to take it in stride already - it's par for the course when it comes to buying pre-owned cars. They'll always tell you what you want to hear and try to hose you when all is said and done.
If I go somewhere else it's the same spiel, different car. Besides I have to buy from a dealership because you can't finance when buying privately. Sucks but what can you do. It is frustrating though.

I was referring to the spiel about them removing the smoke and not the whole process. What I don't understand os why you keep giving these jokers a second chance. Find a car that hasn't been smoked in.

Watch "The Smelly Car" episode of Seinfeld.
Different odor, same conclusion.

A simple suggestion that I think would probably help quite a bit. Rent a carpet wetvac (almost a steamcleaner) from Home Depot. It'll cost your $30+/- and just soak the crap out of the interior (especially the headliner). It should work wonders in removing the bulk of the stench if you use a fair amount of carpet detergent I'd think.
