When I was younger, I was a gigantic Saint John Flames fan, and there really weren't many around, so all my friends started calling me "Flamesguy". I used it as my e-mail address for a few years (flamesguy_2001, then 2002, then just flamesguy). I signed up here when I was 14 or 15 and used that, plus the "SJ" initial for Saint John.
About 6 months after I signed up, the Flames left and I stopped using it for my e-mail, and I really regret using it as a username here. If I could have a do-over, I'd probably go with "Royal" or "Shacklebolt", which are names I've used elsewhere online.

Blah blah blah whatever WE KNOW it's derivative of your girlhood hero, Craig MacTavish - just spelled incorrectly for the endearment factor.
Nice try though. Does your son know you're telling lies about stealing his nickname?

Ugh I wish I could have a mulligan too. Problem is it usually ruins the community. I was thinking of getting a new out because I was outed by a friend who lurks. But then I realized I don't care.

I worked with a guy named Rathjinder when I was out of high school, and I needed a name for a strategy game I was playing with a friend, and I somehow I choose Rathji. I have used it as my online handle for about 15 years now. I kept using it because it was always something that was never taken when I tried to sign up for something. In fact, for a long time, if you googled Rathji, every result was a reference to something I had done.

I have nothing original to say.
Not associated in any way with a prospect wending his way through LA's farm system. Although I should just change the avatar to him just to confuse people.

First started watching the Flames in 86 when Badger Bob was coaching hence "Badger"
and being from Moncton where Terry Crisp coached prior to coaching the Flames I named myself the "Crispy Badger..

I grew up in Winnipeg. When the Jets abandoned me for Phoenix I needed a new team and became a Flames fan.

My user name comes from this one time in 1980, when it was really hot outside and I had to turn a fan on to cool off.

Mine is a tricky secret that you will never figure out. (Unless you read through the threads troutman linked to earlier)

My name comes from the legendary Japanese wrestler, the Great Muta. One of the greatest ring tacticians in wrestling history. Also, one of the greatest cheaters to ever grace the ring.

OzSome sounds like awesome. Real name is Oscar and the bar manager at this restaurant started calling me Oz instead because he says it is easy. My coworkers decided all thinks I am awesome worker hence the alias OzSome.

I was 14 and picked my two favourite Flames. I wish I could go back and make it something more original!
