You left out the part where they found the boat beached on a lake a few miles from our border.

He was framed I tell ya!

I have to say that was pretty smart of him, maybe he's been watching CSI. Unfortunately he didn't know about serial numbers.

Sounds like the kind of guy they hunt down on Criminal Minds, only this guy, to our knowledge, hasn't done this more than once.

I was thinking the same, and fearing for the next dead super model, who's going to be boobless because of this, just sick.

BUT, he wasn't smart enough to buy new luggage, if indeed, he did walk out of a hotel on video with the same suitcase they found her in. You think he would have thought that one through.

The evidence against him includes them both checking into a hotel on video, but only him checking out, pulling a rolling suitcase at least similar to one she was ultimately found inside.

There were also text messages sent from her phone that would suggest she dind't send them.

That's AWESOME. Wonder what story he's going to come up with to cover his butt on this one? Knowing the Canadian system, we won't hear much of it now, unless he's kicked to the US right away. Lets see how long TMZ takes to pick this up.......spoke to soon.....they had it 1 min. before the Herald.

What a dumbass... the last thing you do when people are looking for you is to take a commercial flight to a major center.

I could teach him a thing or two.

Well at least we wont have that embarassing black eye that would have come should he have passed into Canada without being caught.

I think his main goal was to make it to Canada, so they can't deport him unless California takes the death penalty off this case.

Yep.

Maybe the authorities should take him on a boat half way across Lk Ontario and 'accidentally' drop him in. Then let the Americans 'rescue' him.

Absolutely. However, in "extraordinary circumstances" the Canadian government can authorize deportation without the death penalty being taken off the table. Perhaps the mutilation and intentional attempt to cover up her ID will be "extraordinary"?

I doubt it... but I hope so.

The local news is reporting the report of a capture is a false alarm. The Canadian Police had the wrong guy.

UPDATE!

NOT THE RIGHT GUY - Says TMZ....lets wait and see. Imagine if it was a bad look a like? Poor GUY!!

http://www.tmz.com/2009/08/22/report...kins-arrested/

A Buena Park police department official tells TMZ his department just received calls from Canadian authorities who told them the man arrested tonight at a Toronto airport was not Ryan Jenkins.

Authorities boarded a plane and arrested a man they believed to be Ryan Jenkins, but authorities tell us it was not him.
