no, but I surf with firefox and noscript. Noscript has made browsing relatively safe. Only allow scripts on the webpages that I want.

It wont hurt you. Put it in the trash and use Secure Empty Trash so it's totally gone.

Run software update as well. OS X 10.5.8 and Safari 4.0.8 to be sure.
