Yup, you're #2 on the waiting list. I imagine spots will open up quick, often people sign up for stuff and then forget about it.

Yeah but whoever gets pulled NOT only get to be the Flames... they get to Draft first. (as far as I can tell on the other board)
If Edmonton opens up I would like a crack at it before flamesstalker.

Actually, the draft order is selected randomly.

For all you know a team could have become available before the draft happened.

In fact there is one right now. I was debating it before I signed up but I really think that I will not have the time to properly dedicate to this. I am in the CPHL and that is enough for me.
Take care of the Blue Jackets.

True that. I ddint really consider that, and if that be the case, then keep me in mind. Like I said, the thing I enjoy about pools is drafting, trading, manuevering... So, the thought of not being able to pick a team isnt very appealing to me is all and no point keeping me on the list to inherit an already picked team when someone else is in line and ready to take over for that other person.

The Jackets are available if you want them. They are up for grabs to anyone though. First come first serve.

How about using the chat room to draft at a specific time?

What chat room? I agree to this idea.
Also, can we trade picks? #2 + #3, for #1 + #7, for example?

Well everything is up for debate in the forums right now as we figure out what's what. But I would assume trading of picks would be a-okay.

OK, I'll ask again. What is a "keeper league"? How do you play? Do you get points for goals and assists, or are there simulated games?

One point each for goals and assists, three points for a shutout, two points for a win.
It is just like a hockey pool, except you keep the players after the season is over, and you draft prospects in the off-season. No sim-games, it is just based on real NHL stats.

From the encyclopedia of lies:
Quote:
League types
There are three major types: redraft, "keeper" leagues, and dynasty leagues. In a redraft, each owner starts with no players at the beginning of each season and drafts an entire fantasy team. Each owner in a keeper league is allowed to retain a small number of players they owned during the previous season, eliminating these players from the draft, while each owner in a dynasty league is allowed to retain as many players as desired from the previous season, with the draft encompassing only rookies and other unowned (or un-retained) players.
|
Beyond that it works just like any other pool or draft based on actual point totals. The annual CP draft could be an example of a redraft "league" as it seems to be a usual set of people every year.
