Well lets see one week he was an all star 3rd basemen by then end of the year he was a nobody and never returned to baseball. So yes I think it had a direct relationship to me heckling him. Plus vernon wells still comes back every year this guy went from all star to retirement so you cannot even compare the two.

LOL, ya I bet it was completely due to a couple drunk guys mentioning his mustache. Couldn't possibly be related to anything else.

Well we must have rattled him a little bit he did buy us 10 beers to try and get us to stop. That does not happen every day

In minor league baseball that does happen every day. I've had game long exchanges with numerous 1st base coaches, and while none have bought me a beer that type of interaction isn't at all rare.

But this guy played independent league ball how much do they make a game 100 bucks? He spent a significant amount of his money buying us beer unless the players get a sweet discount on concession purchases. Trust me we ruined his career

The scheduling in the GBL is bizarre. The Victoria Seals played home and home series with the Calgary Vipers a couple weeks ago. Then the Seals returned home to play the Edmonton Capitals only to return to go back to Calgary to play the Vipers. In fact, I think the Seals have played three series in Calgary the first month of the season.

I'm totally with fundmark on this on. If only because it makes it a better story.
I'm still proud of the time I made Jimmy Hurst back out of the batters box and call time. (he lol'd)

It is heavily unabalanced. We three Canadian teams play each other a ton, and basically a home and home each against the American teams. I expect that once a fourth Canadian team gets added, it will look a little less odd.

There should be another team in BC. I know Nanaimo has a nice baseball stadium which could be the home of a GBL franchise.

That would be the ideal situation, yes.
Or even in NW Washington. Bellingham might be a good spot, if there is a desire to take on the WCCBL

Cool! 2 teams in Alberta, a team in BC, and another in Washington. We could bring back the old Welcome back Kotter division.

Not much to write home about, but write I did nonetheless.

My Viperpod Speakers are beside my computer right now. If batteries were included, I could tell you wether or not they worked.

Cannons Throwback Jersey night, eh? Yeah, mark me down for that one!
Whether or not the office is a joke, the team on the field is not. 4 games up on Edmonton, and I believe only 4 games to play in the first half.

Those unis sure look sweet... though they could do without the Vipers "V" under the "ons".
