Sorry, have you been watching the other 3 Western team plays? BC been playing crappy, Edmonton lost to Hamilton last game and lucky to win tonight.Saskatchewan were inconsistent and they still couldn't figure out if Durant is good enough to be a starter. Unless Montreal is playing in the West then I have to say it's still anybody's game in the Western Division. All 4 Western teams are playing terrible football this season.

Wrong. I'm a diehard NHL and NFL fan. I'll always have the Colts to cheer about (NFL record 5 straight 12 win seasons! )

Yeah except I have been an Indianapolis Colts fan since 1989. Colts had a ton of crap seasons since I have been a fan (88-94 no playoffs). Jim Harbaugh was a huge reason why I started really following them and i've been a diehard fan since.

I would guess that yes I have watched the other teams and basically agree with what you say.
However, I am not a fan of going with the everyone else sucks so it is okay that we have been garbage as well.
Calgary should be running away with the division right now and instead they 3 losses to terrible teams that shouldn't be within 20 points of the Stamps.

You know, I think Ricky Ray could be the next Warren Moon. After all, they did have similar stats in college.

1. They didn't beat any of those teams so not sure what your sentence has to do with anything
2. The 3 teams that I was talking about were the Riders, Bombers and Esks. Those are the 3 bad, bad losses on the Stamps resume. Nothing wrong with losing to a good Als team.

You were implying that the Esks are a terrible team when in fact they beat 3 good teams already. Read my post again and you'll see which team I was referring to if you haven't figured that out already...lol.

They beat one good team in Montreal, one bad team in the Riders and one team that shouldbe good but is playing like garbage in the Stamps.
Also in two of those games the Esks were clearly the worst team on the field.

They have the worst Defence in the CFL by a MILE.
It is so horribly awful, the worst High School Football team in Calgary would have no problems scoring on those bums - they'd just run it up the middle for 200 yards a quarter.
More than 1/3 of the way through the season, the Stamps haven't beaten a single mediocre, let alone GOOD team. They SUCK. Edmonton is better than them, Sask is better than them, Wpg is better than them, Hamilton with Cobb will DESTROY that crap run efence... seriously, when Hamilton plays Calgary if there are no personnel changes, we may see a 400+ yard rushing effort out of Cobb.
The only teams I would say Calgary is better than are Toronto and BC, and I think BC is getting things together, and will be ahead of Calgary by the conclusion of the LD back to backs, if not sooner.
This is one crap team we have to watch right now, no different than the 2007 version where they play no D, and need to rely on an inconsistent O to score 40+ each and every game for a chance to win. They are awful.

24hr ban, no biggie
Doesn't change the fact that this is not a "Team" right now, and the defence is the worst in the CFL, they flat out SUCK.
This team is not going to win a single playoff game with that garbage they trot on the field game in and game out.
The O is still inconsistent - they had a great game last night, but that is their first true GREAT game they have had this year.
The D has sucked the entire year, the only 2 players worth keeping at this point are the corners - Browner and Anderson. The rest can go, including Labinjo unless he figures out what a diet is.

Relax, yeah the D looked terrible last night. Just keep in mind that in the CFL in a season such as this where it's still anyone's game in the west, all you need to do is play well in the fall. When a team is struggling they tend to pick up more talented NFL cuts than the teams who are sucessful in the summer. Remember Sask's 6-0 start last year, where did that get them come November?

The defense WAS terrible last night, but the defense last season had some games like this at this point last season as well. By the end of the season, the defense was suffocating. Obviously, no guarantees it'll happen again, but we've seen the defense play pretty good for stretches this season too. I don't know what happened yesterday.
If Calgary's defense even rises to the level of mediocre yesterday, Calgary wins in a rout.

No, the D hasn't played well - they played good vs a crap Tor O who was SHUT OUT last week, and against a BC team that was in a shambles.
They blew against Wpg x 2, Blew against Sask, Blew against Mtl, and Blew against Edm - they are horrible.
ANd last night the Stamps were lucky that Edm was too stupid to run the ball in the 1st half, or Burris and Co don't even get the chance to control the ball and put up almost 500 passing yards.
The D is as bad as the 2007 version, and they aren't getting any better, in fact they are getting WORSE. They SUCK. My touch football team could score on that crap.

The season is still young. Assess the team after the NFL cuts make it to CFL teams.

Wasn't Calgary gonna deal with the penalties? They had 9 for 87 yards compared to 4 for 23 for the Esks.

well i guess they got back into single digits, but still brutal. those offsides were awful. i guess they are a work in progress, they are lucky the rest of the west teams aren't stellar at this point, but they need to figure this and the defence and special teams out before labour day, if they lose 2 more to the esks the west final won't be in Calgary...

I don't even know where to start here.
Half of you Stamps fans are totally downtrodden and think this team doesn't have a chance (although it is probably just the emotion talking, in a few days you'll be back), some of you are in complete denial and just brushing off this loss, saying the entire west is weak (as if that makes the Stamps being mediocre OK, despite the fact they are best in the west by a mile on paper), and some of you think nothing is wrong and this team should be 18-0 by the end of the season and that the four losses so far are just a bad dream.
My view: Stamps are about the same team they've been the last few years. Great potential, brutal defence and inconsistent offence (at times).
While the Rambo injury hurts this team they still have a lot of weapons to do some damage. The defence needs to gel and it needs to gel quickly. These types of games are happening WAY too often to the Stamps, especially at the beginning of the season, over the last few years.
Burris had a great night (as did the entire Stamps offence), now Burris needs to get into his midseason form, as he seems to do every season, and pick up his game as the season goes along.
Bad thing for the Stamps is that they could and perhaps should be in control of the West division by now. I laugh at all the comments about the other West teams because Calgary is very close to being tied for last with BC if BC wins tonight.
Calgary has really wasted an opportunity to build up a big lead in the West early in the season. BC is an ok team that should be able to squeak out enough wins to finish about .500 (give or take a couple wins or a couple losses), Edmonton looks like they may finally be over that hump and their new coach could be on to something. The Riders look ok, except the major problem of no QB. If Durant can iron out the wrinkles the Riders could be dangerous in the west.
I think all four West teams have underachieved to a certain extent, but none more than the Stamps who are now wasting games that they probably should be winning.
Luckily for the West TO and WPG look bad enough they will probably fail to qualify for the playoffs and we'll see one of the west teams play in the East SF.
Big game for the Riders and for Hamilton coming up on Sunday. Assuming BC beats TO tonight the Riders need to win to keep pace with the Esks and not fall back with BC and Cgy. Also Hamilton can prove whether or not Mtl is the only actual good team in the CFL and avoid falling hard back to earth after giving steeltown something to believe in for a few weeks. TiCats have a dangerous run game and the Riders haven't looked great against the run so it could be interesting.
