However, I don't believe for one second his claim that the cops never identified themselves, or that he blocked the door because he thought they would "beat him up". Sounds like he is trying to justify his own poor decisions that led to this officer's poor decisions.

I think some of these incidents stem from the fact that alot of police hired in the U.S. are ex-military with a bully ######-bag mentality.

The guy should never be allowed to work as a police officer again.....

Claims he didnt know they were police - thought they were a bunch of guys sent to beat him up, what was this a costume party. Then claims they didnt tell him to put his hands behind is back before tasering him once. Hmmm, note to those who havent finished High School, if the cops tell you to move and you dont and try to fight them they dont need to tell you to then put your hands behind your back before tasering your trailer park a$$.

So did the guy actually get tasered in this a$$ or b@ll$? Or did they cop use that as a techinque to get what was was obviously a very disturbed individ to quit resisting? Last time I checked, unless the guy got his ass busted so far open in prison, a Taser wouldnt beable to fit in there.

So where are the stories about the police doing good deeds? Oh I forgot, there are none, because we all know there aren't any good police officers out there. They're all corrupt and are power hungry. Or maybe there aren't any because it doesn't sell headlines.

Do I think there are cops that abuse their powers? Sure, but I think they are in the small small minority. Most cops I've met are decent people. But there are some here who paint all cops with the same broad stroke. Why that is, I'm not sure but I can probably guess. The person would have felt they were treated "unfairly" by cops, be it giving them a ticket for something they felt was undeserved, or something similar. But from my experience, people tend to exaggerate their own stories to paint themselves as more of a victim than they really are. Believe it or not, most cops don't actually fine people if they weren't breaking the law in the first place.

Sad that when police officers actually perform their duties and help protect the communities they reside in there are no news stories written. Only when a small number of cops engage in regrettable actions does it ever make headlines, and ignorant individuals make general assumptions about the entire profession.

You could say the same thing about the general population. If someone commits a disgusting crime, it will likely be in the paper and there is a good chance that someone will post it here. Stories about people going about their daily lives and not doing anything stupid or heinous, usually aren't that interesting. To use another example, stories about clergy and child molestation make the headlines and get posted here, but no one talks about the ones who do good and are law abiding.

The bottom line is that this officer raped a man with a taser. That deserves to get talked about.

I'm not suggesting the police officer shouldn't be punished if he is found guilty of abusing his power. I just find the hate for cops in general by some here to be a little on the irrational side, that's all.

Good cops is the norm. Bad cops is not the norm. Usually what makes the news is not the norm.

You never hear about good politicians, good pig farmers, good muslims either. Its just the way the news is.

Anyone who sees a story like this and thinks all cops are corrupt is ignorant in the first place.

Also, if cops happen to be abusing their power, it should be publicized. As a society we trust them to operate with our best interests in mind. We need to make sure that happens.

Cops just don't stick a taser up someone's butt for no reason at all.

Now I wasn't there... but picture this..

Cops arrive at a home to investigate a domestic disturbance.
A huge man, 6'5 260 lbs, strong as a bull blocks their way into the residence like he is trying to hide something (has he killed someone, just about killed someone)
Cops try to get in to investigate and said man starts to fight with them throwing punches and hurting some of the cops. Finally the cops wrestle him to the ground (some are bleeding) but he still won't quit...he still wants to fight. As a last ditch effort to get this guy to settle down the cop pulls out his taser and sticks it in the guys ass near his nuts and threatens to pull the trigger if the guy doesn't stop fighting.

Now this is all just make believe on my part... but it certainly could have happened this way and I would have no problem with the cop doing what he did.

Sometimes everything isn't black and white and sometimes there is a lot more to the story than what the "victim" tells.

I have to agree with Rerun, there is alot more to the story I bet.

The cops get a call on Feb 14th... Valentines day for a domestic disturbance.. Then the man is blocking the door when the cops arrived.

There is another article I am trying to find about an officer acting out of his jurisdiction. He threatened to sodomize a young teenage boy. I'm trying to find it.
