Pretty lame. I thought it was going to be more epic than that... or maybe my expectation for being "dunked on" is entirely different than what the majority thinks.

This is puzzling, that's really nothing special at all. The fact that Nike and Lebron tried so hard to keep this tape from getting out makes them look ridiculous, if this came out in the normal course of blog reporting it would have been forgotten in a matter of hours.

It kind of makes me wonder if the story about Nike confiscating tapes at the request of Lebron are accurate, but when you consider the egos of prima donna athletes I guess it doesn't take much to cause an issue.

This dunk was more overhyped then a summer blockbuster

(EDIT: of the jerry bruckheimer variety)

This completely proves that them trying to cover it up made it way worse than it would have been. That was nothing.

Exactly. Who cares. Why is this even a news story? Next up: Martin Brodeur gets scored on while playing road hockey with his kids.

Apparently you don't know the whole story.

This happened a few weeks ago, and after the dunk Lebron and Nike reportedly instructed officials at the camp to confiscate tapes of the dunk. It wouldn't be newsworthy at all if they hadn't gone out of their way to make it so.

^^ nik made that point. Even though you reiterate, I still say only Nike and LBJ wouldn't want that.

Anyone read the story of LBJ admitting he smoked pot? The fox and espn links are best because of the American posters responding to the story who end up dichotomized by the issue.

Poor LBJ, getting dunked on by college players and coming clean about the herb. Come to Toronto LBJ, it's the next best things since the Grizz.

Again, who cares? Making news out of nothing. Nike made a big deal out of nothing, and now these news stations are making news out of nothing on top of nothing!

What aren't you not getting here? Nobody would have cared if Lebron didn't act like a little child and demand that any evidence of him possibly being shown up be confiscated. That's the story.

NBA players have egos? This is groundbreaking!

Is there any proof LeBron asked for them to be confiscated? I have heard it was only Nike.

Rumor was after it happen LeBron went over to a Nike rep and asked him to confiscate the video/pics.

However in that video it looks like he just runs up court. So it could have happened after I guess....?

Or not happened at all?

I dunno why but it just seems like such a weak dunk. He doesn't really get crowned or posterized so I don't know why he'd care.

There are 2 people who have said that they had their tapes confiscated by Nike reps, and both of them have had those tapes returned now that the video has been leaked. Seems like pretty solid evidence to me.
