Default Josh Barnett fails CSAC drug test, Fedor fight off

http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/10017/

Care of Sherdog and the Wrestling Observer: Affliction heavyweight Josh Barnett is apparently OUT of the Affliction: Trilogy main event fight with WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko after reportedly failing a California State Athletic Commission drug test.

The fight was scheduled for August 1. The show will go on as planned, but Affliction is scrambling to find a replacement for Barnett.

Pretty much means Fedor will fight a tomato can and will clear the way for Fedor to come to UFC and face Brock.

HA.

Unless Fedor agrees to the ######ed terms Dana is asking for it will never happen. Fedor competes in Samba competitions all the time and when you are under contract with the UFC you are not allowed to fight for any other organization. Dana also wants a multi-fight deal and Fedor wants to go one fight at a time.

I can see both sides, Fedor wants to do his Samba and not be tied down by the UFC but Dana can't really have Fedor come in to fight once, take the belt and then leave the organization.

I'm sure Dana also isn't to keen on Fedor coming in and whipping his new golden boy up and down the cage.

Dana seems more keen to have Fedor face Brock than he did Randy though.

Pre-Brock Dana's opinion was "Who the is Fedor?"

Now he will at least talk about him with some little bit of interest in bringing him into the UFC.

Don't get me wrong, Fedor would sub Brock in the first/second round, but Fedor would absolutely annihilate Couture.

Fedor is a way bigger potential golden boy for the UFC then Brock is. The UFC wants to expand to Asia/Japan....Fedor is God over there.
