So is the age gap unethical? There is 14 years between my parents and I don't have a problem with that.

I occasionally watch American Chopper and I saw the one where they did the bike for Jon, and that was my first experience into that show, and man, I must say, I don't know how that dude could have gone on living like that. Like wft man, grow a friggin spine. She does nothing but whine and complain and he just mopes around and doesn't say anything. What a disaster family.

PS, I should stop watching american chopper because that show is bunk now as well. Ohhh the drama! Just build bikes fer christ sakes. I do not care about your mental break down or your lingere store or whatever.

I agree. The first season or two was worthwhile, Paul Sr. and Jr. are at their dysfunctional best there, and didn't play it up all that much yet.

If condoning the exploitation of a family, and expressing my disappointment in anyone who considers said exploitation as means of there own personal entertainment makes me "hardcore" or gives me an "rockstar-esque personal" so be it.

People following this family are trying to point out the explotation this family is doing to thier kids. Not everyone views that show as entertainment.

The bull**** and holier-than-thou attitude smeared all throughout your post is almost sickening.

Yeah, you sure care about the "exploitation" of these people, don't you? You crusader, you!

"Well they're being taken advantage of, and their personal lives are being ripped apart by the media... I'd totally do her anyways!"

The only exploitation that has happened in regards to this show, is you exploiting their current situation to make yourself look better after getting called out on being an ass. You sure didn't seem to care anything about it before then.

Well done.

Edit- as pointed out by Dion above, some people are following this for different reasons. Did they exploit their kids? Likely, but those kids are likely set for life because of it (I certainly hope they are, anyways).

What's wrong with 23? According to Wikipedia, he's 32. Is nine years really that big of a deal? It's not like he's 20 and she's 11. I don't get why you're bringing up personal ethics with regards to an age difference.

An adult is an adult. I really think it's time that society stops attaching a stigma to relationships with an age gap. Especially one that's only nine years.

What other purpose does it serve other than entertainment? It hardly holds any educational value and I fail to see how watching it is pointing out the exploitation. If the show has no viewers than there isn't any show and thus no exploitation.

No. what's sickening is that people choose to emerse themselves in the diveril that the show has become.

I don't really care about the exloitation of these two, they signed up for this garabage so now they have to lay in it. My heart goes out to the childern. Oh and please don't put words in my mouth in an attempt to make me look like the bad guy for choosing not to watch this awful television show.

Yes it's my I'm the bad guy here, I'm the one doing the exploiting by condoning, and refusing to watch the show, right.

Well done.

What other reasons are there to watch the show other than entertinament?

If nobody watched it how would anyone know the children are being exploited?

I have no problem with the age, just the fact that he goes for her so soon kind of shows where he has placed his priorities.

For me this is just as bad as saying there can only be a certain age gap. Why must there be a waiting period? It's not like the love of his life died in some sort of accident; the relationship had been getting worse and worse for a while. He could easily have been "done" with the marriage months ago, but stayed faithful while the marriage was still in effect.

No, it's totally true. I guess I just don't care either way. I think I was attempting to muster up some moral outrage to fit in or something.

I think this might be the first time in the history of the internet that someone admitted this. Well done, pete.

For some reason, the clarity is shining through the clouds of internet rage today.
