Default Is "noone" even a word?

I see people typing this all the time. This really annoys me and is a pet peeve of mine. Not sure why... but it really does...

Noone is not a word. It's two words.... no one.
Nobody is a word. Noone isn't.

If I'm wrong, and somebody can prove it to me, I'll eat my words...

Seems like a good thread for this:

resign = to quit
re-sign = to sign again

And they mean almost opposite things.

It's called noon, until someone hands you a fancy McDonalds coffee, at which point it becomes noonč.
