Okay, I went and saw this show this weekend, and I'm not sure how many other CPers have seen this, but howly cow, this is the funniest thing I have ever seen in my entire life (Yes even funnier than The Hangover).

Two friends and I had tickets this weekend in the "Splatter Zone" and wow, was that ever a horribly misleading title. It really should be the "You Will Likely Get Drenched in Candarian Demon Blood Zone", and that really just made it that much better. We wore our brand new white t-shirts with pictures of Ash on them, and now we have some very liberally splattered souveniers. Much better than the foam chaninsaw hands.

The show itself, was just wall to wall hillarity, the songs were all great, and the acting was just over the top enough, and getting most of the great one liners in (as well as the audience knowing them well enough to say them along with Ash).

And the inside jokes, were fantastic. My favourites are in white for anyone who hasn't seen it yet:

Cheryl reading the Bruce Campbell autobiography

The quip about Spiderman 3 being poorly directed (poor Sam Raimi)

Good Old Reliable Jake "What with that Shelly girl getting attacked by the trees and all, Bobby Joe would have been rediculous and redundant"

Ash's speach about "Well after that I went back in time to the middle ages, where the worshiped me as a god, and I saved all of mankind, but that's a different story"

So in summary, if you've seen this show, and you didn't like it, you suck.
If you haven't seen this show, and you have tickets, you'll enjoy it, especially if you are sitting in the "Splatter Zone", and if you are, get ready to get REALLY MESSY.
If you haven't seen this show, try to get tickets, if at all possible in the "Splatter Zone", but if not you'll enjoy it anyway.

Splatter zones are gross IMO. You never know what's in that stuff....

I have never understood what was so funny about these Evil Deads, My Name is Bruce, etc movies... maybe just not my kind of humour. My room mate loves them.

I have seen it compared to a GWAR concert. I don't think it would be a good "date" type activity there. Unless you want to see how your date reacts to being covered in fluids of course.

It was all kinds of awesome, I saw it 2 weeks ago - my g/f enjoyed it, said she would go see it again if we sat in the splatter zone.

Her sister HATED it, lol.

Having never been to a GWAR concert I can't really say.

What I can say is that if you're in the "Splatter Zone" it's pretty fun. You know what you're in for and it's a good time.
It's only the first three rows so if you don't want to get bloody, you can get other seats pretty easily.

Aside from that, like I said the show is hillarious, so I think it'd be a great date activity, and if the girl doesn't want to get bloody, she really doesn't have to.

But from speaking to people after the show, I didn't hear one person in the splatter zone say "I wish I had gotten tickets farther back", but I did hear a lot of folks say "Damn I wish I had tickets in the splatter zone".

Don't have to many buddies that are into the whole theatre thing.

I'm kinda dateless right now, I'm sure there's someone out there that would get a kick out of this.

To get the tickets you have to click on

Ground Zero/Hit & Myth in the first drop down boxes, and single tickets on one of the other ones, but don't worry that doesn't mean that it is just single tickets.

It doesn't look like there are an splatter zone tickets left though, but it's still awesome.

I saw it last night and I agree it was all kinds of awesome. We sat in row G which was three rows back from the splatter zone. We didn't get any residual splatter (bummer), but we did see at least 6 people that wore ponchos and sat in the splatter zone. Why? Why would they bother paying extra to sit in those seats when they didn't want to get sprayed? Makes no sense to me, I would've loved to sit in that zone.
It was a really great show splatter, or no splatter. I laughed so much my gut is sore. I'd see it again in a heart beat.
