Europe bans Canadian seal products

I actually was not going to come on CP this week, but I can not resist. The EU is way off base on this issue. Many EU member countries have seal hunts.....are they more humane?.......I am not religious man, but JC put it best, take the plank out of your own eye before worrying about the splinter in mine......so France can you please ease of on the force feeding of geese...oh, yeah England please stop running foxes into the ground with 100 hounds......

I was waiting for Tron_fdc and his avatar to enter this discussion. I will agree with dissentowner on one thing we could sit here all day and argue till all the baby seals are clubbed and no one would change anyone's mind so I won't bother getting into this discussion.

Why would I do that, seems awfully costly, messy, and a complete waste of time. I also don't grow my own vegetable's. Do you take the "cowardly" way out when buying produce?

You framed it as cowardly, which is interesting. Do you think if I killed a pig myself it would heroic or manly?

Easy, because the cow did not murder anyone. If your so for humans then what is the problem with using the ones that killed other humans for experiments? The animal is innocent, the murderer not so much...

If the cat was a farm cat or a wild/feral cat he would have eaten the prey. We are the ones who are interfering with the natural way of things by providing house cats with their food and restricting their hunting instincts. The cat just isn't hungry.

As I said - I knew what the answer would be. Yes, I grow fruit and vegetables. I can take a degree of pride in providing for myself and my family.
