Alberta will take in more money from gambling than it will from oilsands royalties, according to provincial budget forecasts for 2009-10.

Charities are expected to directly collect another $325 million from gambling revenue, mostly through volunteering at casinos.
Alberta already raked in the highest amount per capita in gambling revenue among the provinces at $871 for every adult resident in 2007-08, according to the Canadian Gambling Digest. The national average was only $547.
I, for one, am glad that the gambling revenues are staying in province rather going to the USA. I think we need to turn Lethbridge into a Northern version of Vegas (or at least Reno North).
Oil Production as well as reserves according to the article in the Herald.
They are talking about conventional production. Sask did ~161 million barrels and Alberta 191 million barrels in 2007 (Alberta's peak year was over 350 million). But if you look at total oil production, Alberta had over 423 million barrels in 2007.
