Default Milkshakes in the core

Oh great CP oracle I have another question for you. Is there any decent places for milk shakes walking distance in the city core. A place close to Fith Ave and 5th street would be awesome.

I was told that a there might be a place in Eau Claire but looking at their web I can't find any place that would.

Milkshakes wouldn't last long in the core. Too much magma.

Yes Diary products don't last long in a pool of molten hot MAGma, don't you agree Mr Powers?

That is kind of sad. What about the city core. By city I mean Calgary. By Calgary I mean the city in Alberta, Canada.

Yes, it is a slow work day.

Are you talking about the kind of milkshake that would bring all of the boys to the yard?

I could teach you, but I'd have to charge

What kind of shakes do you like? Soft serve and syrup style, like DQ or Peters? Hand scooped hard ice cream in a metal cup? Premixed from a bag, like McDonalds?

I work very close to there as well and I have searched for 5 years and have found nothing. I have migrated to bubble tea while at work even though it tastes kind of funny. There is also the Iced Cap from Tim's, althought with the ones downtown you need to purchase them while the temperature is 10C or below, or the machines dont seem to work.

As no one has really helped out on this one I think the McDonald's on 8th ave between 1st and 2nd street SW has milkshakes...

Just head over to the dessert house and grab an avocado shake. So good.

Real shakes would be ideal. The Macdonald ones are garbage.

Are there any DQs downtown? There used to be one beside Crack Mac's on 8th St, but I think it's a McDonald's now. There was also one right beside the Bay downtown on 8th Ave.

It's been 15 years since I regularly went downtown, so my knowledge of the area is a bit out of date.

I had a craving for a Diary Queen shake the other night and went to the one across the street from my house.

I can say with all confidence that it was the worst chocolate shake I've ever had in my life.

Am I missing something here, that's the second time you've spelled it "diary". Just a typo or is there some kind of inside joke?

The one you speak of next to the Crack Mac's on 7th has been a McDonald's for at least 8 years.
And the one on Stephen Ave went away about a year ago.

As for the OP, what about a Gellato place?
I know Fiasco (I know not even close to the best Gellato in town) has a few locations downtown.
I don't know if they make shakes, but maybe there is one close to you.

There is a gourmet hot dog place on 4th St SW (name escapes me atm, has a French name) that has REALLY good malt milk shakes. Not quite the core but not miles from it either.
