mp3's and FTP's....

I'm trying to use Flash MX Pro 2004's Media Playback component....Basically I want to stream some music on my site, beside what's in my Flash intro. When I upload the mp3 onto my FTP and tune the player so it streams that song, it still won't work!

Is there something I am missing when uploading the mp3???? Is there something special I need to do....Oh sweet lord, please help!

Does your mp3 have an http address, like you can open it with your webbrowser?

Yes, well...I had it up on the server, I have since taken it down, but yes you could access it through the browser and it would ask you to download it. When I did, WMP gave me the error code that it didn't understand the file format and couldn't play the file.

Just to note, I use Dreamweaver's FTP and when I put the mp3 in the local folder it opened up a page inside Dreamweaver that just had scattered code all over it...I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but thought I would mention it....
