Okay. How about genital herpes that turns into flesh eating disease. That way if they survive at least they can't spawn because their thang will be the first thing to go.

Well done!!!
I saw "Canada's most watched political panel" (I didn't know that there was more than one panel?) last night and someone on there made a great point. The CPC lost their biggest weapon in the fight to govern, Stephane Dion.

I've voted Liberal every federal election and I couldn't vote for Dion. I would have voted Conservative but Rob Anders is my MP! hahaha.
I just stayed home.

I think that happened more often than some people think. In Ontario that attitude was rampant in some Liberal strongholds. I would think that if Harper couldn't get his majority against Dion than he will never get it. Ignatieff is not the second-coming, but he's competent. This poll might not predict the outcome of the next election, but it shows some dire trending for the CPC if things continue in this vein.

Ya, but if it stems from a case of genital herpes then the correct "leg" will the first one to go. Why take chances.

People who think any politician will EVER be the second coming are deluded.

I've been a card-carrying member of the Liberal Party since I was 18, but I hated hated hated Dion too. What an incompetent buffoon of a leader that guy was.
Barring something spectatular happening, Harper's window to win a majority government appears to have closed. If he couldn't manage it against Dion, there's no way he'll get one against Ignatieff. Methinks the next federal election will be Harper's last as leader of the CPC. I'm very curious to see who his successor will be.

You should blame your party. Where else on earth does the 3rd place guy get the job?? well other than the Alberta Conservatives. haha That is soooo broken.

Well, that's the nature of leadership conventions where a 50%+1 majority is required over multiple rounds of voting. AFAIK, all political parties, both at the provincial and federal level, use the same system for choosing their leaders. It's just not very often someone as awful as Dion or Stelmach is able to exploit the system to win.

Well that takes Ignatieff out of the running then.
I know that anyone would look decent after Dion but if Ignatieff is the saviour of the Liberals, then Liberal voters are even dumber then I thought they were.
Another terrible choice from the Liberals.

Hopefully someone from the Reform wing of the party.
The Conservatives need a big swing back to the right wing, but I doubt it will happen and some loser like Mackay will get voted in.

It isn't like a move to the center has done a good job of getting them majorities.

I seem to recall Dion surging past Harper in the polls at one point....and then people started to pay attention.

It did get them a minority though. The Conservatives will never get to govern without selling out because the majority of Canadians don't share their views. Sure, they can form a government, but they have to turn into the Liberals to do so.
