I just don't have the dedication to play this game the way it seems like it has to be played. I levelled my hunter to 77 and it started to become a real chore. More and more people were becoming critical of other players. If you don't have the best gear you are garbage.... even if you couldn't get the best gear unless you went on the raids that you couldn't go on because you don't have the best gear... sigh.

The thing is, I don't work 40 hours a week and then have the time to dedicate playing a computer game to freaking "perfection". For me, it's just escapism and having fun. For too many, it has become a "real life" situation and I am far to casual of a player to get to 80 if that is what it takes.

I do enjoy the grind though, when it is less competetive. My latest incarnation is a Tauren Druid. We'll see, maybe by the time I am at level 60, I won't mind how intense it gets.

There are some people who get pissy about anything.

Play your toon however you want, and if anyone gives you grief, put them on ignore.

I find a smaller guild helps. You get to know the people and they will let you play however you want and will chat or help whenever they can.

**** 'em in my opinion. It's all about finding a casual raiding guild. You get all the progression of a regular guild, but at a slower pace and no one is critical. The critical people usually end up leaving because people don't realize how srs WoW is.

Warcraft is srs bsnss (NSFW)

When I was doing the Elder achievements, I went to do the one in Ogrimarr. Other than the guards, there was one Horde who even tried to fight me. A lvl 3 warlock. He cast a couple times, but of course nothing hit. Then he started to dance, so I joined. Then he casted a few more times, so I equipped my fishing rod and swung. I really wasn't trying to kill him, but - 127 overkill, lol.

I just want 3.1 so my holy priest can complete some quests without having to spend 50g every time. I hate being squishy.

WTB dual specs.

I'm worried about the whole, "Make Spirit a more interesting stat for mages" thing.

And it really seems like Blizz are making the classes more similar, or at least giving many of them similar abilities. I'm not sure I like that, it seems to be pulling much of the uniqueness out of classes. It is almost like it was getting too difficult to balance classes, so they are sharing abilities instead.

That sounds about right. I was working on the diplomat of the alliance achievement, questing at the Exodar, when a level one begged me for gold. I told him I would give him 10g if he beat me in a duel. I was 74. He actually challenged me, so I cast thorns and let him kill himself in one blow.

As far as guilds and group play goes, my guild has exactly two people. Myself and a good friend. We just play for the quests and to have fun. No interest at all in joining a large guild or running four hour raids, six nights a week.

So 3.1 drops today, welcome to Ulduar.

As a feral druid I was hoping this day would never come. As soon as maintenance finishes I am rolling Oomkin =(

My main rogue: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...une&cn=Agility
My new pally: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...ne&n=Augustice

I have a couple other 80s and another rogue (70), but none of them are all that interesting. In all honesty, I hardly even play that much anymore.

I've got my Shammy up to 73 - the Dual spec should be a god-send for him.

For my mage, I don't see much use for dual spec out side of, perhaps, a frost spec for large AOE requirements. I'm curious about the mana changes they did.

This game is so terrible now, achievements are all about time sinks required to get you to play ridiculous amounts of time.

While ignoring the fact they create very little content for people.

Obviously they are focusing on the next great mmporg.

Diablo will be terrible. If SC2 comes out first, you'll never see D3.

That said if D3 comes out first we'll never see SC2.
