What a great defensive play, the defender sprawled out on the ice and swept the puck away from the Giant forward, the puck went out into the neutral zone where Gal picked it up and went in all alone and it somehow went into the net.

Spokane has won 3 in a row to take a 3-2 series lead.

Does anyone know why the WHL website's game summary only lists three overtimes? It has the winning goal listed as being scored at 6:05 of the third overtime, yet lists the penalty called at 19:36 of the 3rd overtime. Both the scorer's sheet and the text box score also list the goal as coming in the third overtime. It seems bizarre that the all three would list the winning goal of such a big game as occurring in the wrong period.

Haven't seen the sum from last night yet, but I know with the Kootenay/Kamloops game that went into 4 OTs, they originally had the winning goal scored at 56:00 of the 2nd overtime. Must have something to do with formatting.

Anywho, tough break for the Giants. Didn't attend (in the Okanagan on holidays), but watched on TV. Two so-so goals for Sexsmith (where have I heard that before, unfortunately), and as the game wore on, I felt that the Giants' collective gas tank just got emptier and emptier. Poor Berube...

Hopefully they respond on Sunday night, but the Chiefs are terrific in their own building. Either way, I've said all along I think the Rockets come out of the west to play CGY in the final and nothing I've seen from either the Giants or the Chiefs is changing my opinion.

Thank you, it appears that they have now fixed it to correctly read four overtimes, whoever put it up was probably half asleep at the time.

Kelowna advances to the next round. Backlund with 2 goals and an assist in a 6-2 win. Vancouver down 1-0 in the 3rd period on the verge of being eliminated.

Vancouver ties it 1-1.

Edit: Vancouver now up 2-1. Less than 9 minutes left in the 3rd.

Spokane ties it 2-2 with under 90 seconds left.

Good call by Kirk? Really?

Another potential Vancouver goal being reviewed, and denied, lol.

Kirk and Herman calling the same game... Probably Moon's greatest nightmare!

Looking more and more like Kelowna will make it out of the West - Spokane/Vancouver are going to be beaten down by the end of this series, even should it finish tonight. Without Jared Cowen, I don't know that Spokane will match the Rockets physically.

Yeah the Rockets are very physical and in this past series, based on what I have read, they just wore down the Ams. I picked them at the beginning of the playoffs to win the west.

Going to a second OT. These two teams have already played the equivalent of 7.5 games. If they go to a game 7, whichever team advances probably won't have enough gas left.

Well from TV..where the angle is front of the net, it appeared the puck was slashed out of the glove into the net...

The official made the call from behind the net..so yes I would say good call..
