Texting is the reason why people under 30 cannot spell and use poor grammar.
 then, than
 their, there, they're
 your, you're
 where, were, wear

I understand the occasional typo. But seriously, some posts/blogs are really hard to read.

Under 20. I'm pushing 30 and have piss poor grammar for entirely different reasons.

It should be noted that I try to use correct grammar, and am embarrassed by how poorly I use the English language.

I think IM is a bigger culprit than SMS. I've been using MSN since grade 7 and it took a lot of focus to break my 'hey how r u?' habits. Girls are worse.

I don't care that it takes so much longer, I make it a point to use proper english when sending messages. The only acronyms I use are things like "lol". never "ur", "b4" or other lazy crap.

lol, did anyone follow the link to where the other link said they got the list from?
It's so hilarous someone had to have put it up as a joke, no one can be that dumb. Who the hell abbreviates you with a y? or porn with pron? That's some awesome code there. Some of these are sooo ridiculous that they have to have come from a comedy show like this or something.

Agree entirely. It drives me crazy but I keep it to myself to avoid looking like a total nerd.
