			$1000?!?
So if I can get 22 together so I can teach them the raw basics of something, which I could probably learn myself on a weekend, I can make $22k?

Just download the SDK and start programming some small projects. Objective-c is pretty easy once you get over the ghey syntax. And Apple does almost everything for you.
WWDC for $1495 is more worth my while. But the app I'm working on, Apple wants to feature there.

			Nice!
Heh, one iPhone app the company I used to work for did?
https://www.mapninja.com/start
The iPhone 3.0 firmware makes it superfluous! Awesome lol.

Heres a question, does the iPhone continually collect input from the accelerometer? Or does it need an app to turn it on?

I actually have an idea for an app, so I have no need to go to this course.
Another language with curly brackets. Yawn.

Typically, I'd agree with you, but this one is definitely worth it.

It's being put on by Michael Sikorsky, a predominate mentor in the local start-up industry (Brains behind Crowdsurfing power houses Cambrian House & now Venture Corps). He's pretty well connected in the industry especially with Stat-ups and Venture Capitalists.

If this was put on by SAIT then I'd have to agree that it was ridiculous. But this is really going to be a solid course. If I had the basic level of programing required I'd be all over this.

it is a still a rip off. All the things he is talking about are things that can be learned on your own for free.

I have never researched it personally since I don't have the time, but overheard once that you need a Mac to do anything w/ android. Is this true? Can't see how this would work.

so you're spending 1000 bucks just to meet the guy when apple provides you all the tools to get your stuff posted to the app store....

LOL. Still missing the point. Anyone can learn anything on their own time.

It's rather a question of how you would rather spend that time. Would you rather spend a month in your basement failing and making stupid mistakes to teach yourself an app... Or would you rather spend two days with experts surrounded by 22 other developers learning and brainstorming about the app development.

Sure you're probably going to have the same level of knowledge at the end of both options, but on only one channel will get you far more opportunity to actually apply that knowledge.

iPhone development needs to be done on a Mac or at least in OS X. Android is Google's thing and it's java based. So it's platform independent.
