Shawn Springs meeting with the Eagles.

They're hoping he will compete with Quentin Demps in camp for Brian Dawkins' vacant spot. Colour me unimpressed if that's all they're going to do there.

That's probably his last chance to prove he can be a true team guy. We've already seen divas magically disappear there with Randy Moss and Corey Dillon. If he can't do it in New England, he's hopeless.

Hey Bobble head. The Niners are going to the Super Bowl with the acquisition of Damon Huard.

I saw that. Just trying to create a QB competition.
Also re-signed Takeo Spikes, which I'm pretty happy about. He came in late and took a while to learn the defense, but his smarts beside Patrick Willis' huge talent will be a treat for the next couple of years.

^Huard plays decent. He saved the Chiefs season a few years ago when Trent Green was KO'd in week 1 vs the Bengals. Still he is getting pretty old, 36 I believe. He should be a great mentor for the young QB's there. He did backup some of the best. Marino, Brady, Brodie Croyle.

I'd hope not. He'd whine about Pennington and generally cause more trouble than hes worth.

I'm sure Al Davis is all over the TO situation. In reality how long does TO have? He is what 35, 36 years old. He is going to hit a wall physically sooner or later.

You can just hear NFL fans cringing with the thought that TO might end up on their favorite teams roster this upcoming season. Except for Machievelli who is sad to see him go.

You know, as much as I think TO is a distraction, I think if he goes to a team like the Patriots with Randy Moss, Tom Brady, Fred Taylor, Wes Welker... that offense would be absolutely unstoppable.

Can they fit him in under the cap?

NE wont touch him, no need for him and Moss.
Denver could use a big play guy to compliment Royal but they likely wouldnt want the hassle.
What about Indy. You would have to assume they could assimilate him.
Giants maybe to replace Plex?

You would think that he would go somewhere that has a good QB, but is missing out on a big play receiver. NE needs to worry about the defense, their offense is set especially with the return of Brady. Denver same thing, their needs are on the defensive side of the ball. Indy's offense is set and doesn't need to rock the boat with a player like Owen's. Giants? Maybe, although the Giants have stated that they would welcome Burris back.

Agree with BBB on Huard. Great team guy that is capable of being very solid over a limited period of time. He is a good addition there.

Ha, can you imagine? Owens has already made disparaging remarks about Moss. And then who would wear #81?
