Michalek Joins Gagne

In a surprising move, even to the GM, the Sharks have traded young talented 2-way LW Milan Michalek to the Blackhawks for slightly older but slightly more offensively talented winger Alexander Frolov. The move was unexpected and quickly negotiated by the two GM's as both teams continue to shake things up.

With a 3ov upgrade to the forward ranks over the last couple days, the roster for game after today will likely look as so:

Sharks GM Ryan believes the forward ranks are finally at a stage that rivals, if not tops, the group that one the cup last year while the Defense and Goaltending is definitely better. Next on the wish list are a stronger defensive forward on the 4th line LW and better 6th dman.

Thanks to Dan for the very quick and easy talks and to Milan for his great play in the first half of this season. He has seriously slowed lately but for a good portion this year was one of the league leaders in goals. Hopefully Frolov can get back to scoring the way Michalek once was.

I hope these last two deals poison the Sharks locker room and brings on an epic slump. Seeing as if I do make the playoffs, I'll probably have to play the Sharks. It's time for Albert to get whiney!

Yeah, the Sharks lineup is pretty damn deep. Seems like a good move for ; Michalek and Frolov are comparable players, and Frolov has picked up his play a fair bit recently.

Thanks to everybody (except Syl) for the kind words! Unfortunately all the work on the roster has cost the Sharks all but a few decent prospects but I figure you don't get a shot to repeat very often so I have to go balls to the wall.

To Syl, I hope to heck you miss the playoffs by one point. Not because I want you to lose, but for more selfish reasons. The Oilers, as poor a season as they've had so far, are still a talented team and facing them in the first round if I'm so lucky to finish 1st would be scary as hell!
